Really good video. great flow. Short. Good info. I'm not a lawyer but I play one on TV. I plan to use passenger footage on my channel and when I do, even though I am in a one party state, I will use a standard model release form anyone can download free from the web. What matters most is that anyone can sue anyone else any time, and it costs money to defend against one. No one cares about your videos that no one sees but try having a viral video without model releases and my guess is monetizing the ish out of that puppy just got more complex. Good problem to have but a problem nonetheless. If in doubt get a lawyer to advise you but this is related to an area of law that is easy to navigate free online with abundant free forms which you copy and have someone sign. #peace

I think you should be able to just for your own safety tbh. False accusations, assaults… without recording there is no proof. You’ll have a much harder time defending yourself. Especially since if a woman says a man assaulted her then his life can basically be ruined.

Just put a sign in the window that states you agree to recording while in my uber or lyft

It's not the recording that's the problem. It's the sharing on social media that is

The rules are simple, in a “two party state” post a sign or setup your app with Uber and Lyft to inform account holder. Your comments about the drunk can’t consent is false. When a person “voluntarily” consumes a drug or alcohol that dims their senses they are still “legally” responsible for their behavior. Best example is DWI. Nevada is 1 party consent, as long as the person is not on the phone with speaker phone enabled, one party consent is all you need. If the person is using speaker phone, I ask them to make the call private, I do not want to turn off my dash cam for them. In a 2 party state, such as CA or Mass, a sign on window will be held to be consent, regardless of their alcohol or level of pot intoxication. Recently I was in SF and most of the Ubers had a dash cam and a sign that informed all parties they were being recorded.

I'd suggest watching my most recent video about this here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qKeb2Nt_j62nmbA.html. There are a lot of factors, and in some ways it is worth it, in some ways it isn't

I would say yes you can record in your car. I don’t see anyone complaining about Walmart, convenient stores, gyms and other places being upset by the people who come k. The stores. People who get mad are dumb crybabies
