I have a Borderlands3 ps4 disk version. I upgraded to ps5 version. To play the ps5 version, the ps4 disk need to be in the PlayStation. But everytime when i start the PlayStation the ps4 is going to install. Is there a way to it doesnt instal?

I have about 20-30 PS4 games (my siblings games too), but 10 to 15 of them are personally mine, so I had doubts that PS4 games wouldn't work on PS5 and have to buy the PS5 version of those games which are more expensive. Glad to know that it works.

phew i was worried i'd need to keep my ps4 hooked up(having my ps3 ps4 and ps5 all hooked up would be a nightmare jesus) as a lot of the games in my platinum backlog are physical including the ENTIRE YAKUZA SERIES so if i had to get back on the ps4 to do all of those 100+ hour platinums i wouldve been kinda pissed

Of course, PS5 has new settings, features, graphics... everything. If u have a chance UPGRADE it to PS5 bro. And no u don't lose any data switching from ps4 version to ps5 if that was a follow-up question

Something of importance to note is how the PS5 in the video is oriented. The disk drive is in the bottom, below the USB slots. If you have your PS5 the other way up then you'll need to put your disks in upside down (shiny side up).

BUY PHYSICAL u can then sell it later if u take care of it, digital is really a scam because u never really own the game u own the right to play it

I put rdr2 in mine and it suddenly stopped downloading right before 50% when I got the disc out smoke came out aswell n the disc was hot

@@roxaskinghearts sony doesn't charge you $20 to play ps4 games on ps5. That part is free. If the game gets remastered natively for ps5, then you have the option to upgrade to the remastered native version for $20. If you would like to not do that and continue playing the ps4 version, that remains free :)

So if they remove it from the store it doesnt work right? In 10 years it wont and we will need a PS4

I’m not sure why but my black ops 3 just won’t download on my ps5 so I’m trying to download it now on my ps4 and so far it seems like there haven’t been any issues.

Thanks for the information, I'm 82 and a slow learner. I wish there was an easy way to get to higher levels or just bypass them. Maybe I can take the games (Discs) to GameStop and pay them to open all levels.

Unfortunately if you want to progress in a video game you’ll have to do it yourself. If you’re having trouble then you could change the difficulty level. Not all games have the option to do so. Alternatively you could look up a walkthrough or guide for the game. I’m a couple months late with this response and you probably won’t hear from me again. Have a good day! :)

for me if i put in a ps4 game it downloads the digital ps5 upgrade. WHich is a better quality in graphics. Many games for ps4 after the ps5 came out have the option to upgrade o ps5 digital for free. And i can tell you the quality difference is clearly visible. I tried it with a couple of games to just play the ps4 version (no internet) then using internet for the digital upgrade and it was way better. just a tip and it works only for the game i bought the past 3 years since the ps5 is out.

How about a digital version on PS4 to new ps5

@iamthenewblxck as long as you have internet connection to your playstation,You should be able to both purchase it off the store or put a physical ps4 disc into the PS5 console,I'd recommend buying the disc though because there's a high chance it'll be cheaper than buying it digitally if you don't have the game already

Of course you can play Ps4 games on Ps5, but it is not like playing Gamecube games on Wii, on this case, you'll have to download the game to play instead playing directly...
