    Dawn and dusk doesn't necessarily need to be an exact point or period of time. Dawn is when the sun has risen and Dusk is when the sun has set.

    When it's summer mostly anywhere, 5 PM isn't dusk. Like, when it's 12th of June in Europe, at 5 PM sun is high in the sky, it's often even hotter and sunnier than at noon.

    Portuguese is way easier 6:00 am - 12:00 am : manhã Greeting: Bom dia (good day) 1:00 pm - 5:00/6:00 pm : tarde Greeting: Boa tarde (good "afternoon") 6:00/7:00 - 12 am : noite Greeting: Boa noite (good night) After 12 am till before the sunrise starts: madrugada Normally people don't greet at this period, but you can say "Boa madrugada" or just "Boa noite" as well

    I guess that there is a slight difference between dusk and sunset. Dusk is when the sun is not completely gone yet.

    The five prayers' names in Islam almost depend on some of that El-Fejr = the dawn El-Đhuhr = the noon El-Âsr = the afternoon El-Meğrib = the sunset (the Dusk) El-Isha'â = (after the dusk)
