The way I understood fortune was that it doesn't make you lucky, but more so helps you to know what the best choice to make is or where you need to be, kind of like seeing a bit into the future. So, yea compounding this would be crazy and I to have been wanting to see it for a long time now.

@@reverseman2561 even that would be crazy powerful, kind of like the luck potion from Harry Potter. Doubt we’ll ever see something like that but who knows!

@@Merecir I don't recall it being fortune compounding specifically(though I maybe just forgot), but I did know that Hoid uses fortune manipulation of some kind to end up where he need to be. That is way I think fortune compounding probalby lets you, at least to some extent, see the future.

The real question is whether the metals are suspended in whiskey or not 😂

Question. Brass stores memories. When compounding you burn the metal while storing to get more out of it. What happens if you store memory while burning Brass? Are the memories clearer? How does the mental metals compound?

You mean copper right? If I had to guess, it makes you VIVIDLY recall those memories, basically shallan memory without blessed genes. Maybe you also completely lose said memories after the metalmind is burned out.

I always assumed it made 10 copies of the memories. This lets you distribute them to others (if you were storing your identity) or just use them over and over without risk of corruption

@@reverseman2561 That's fair, but this was always the "solution" in my mind to how Wax was able to be given a copy of a memory by Hoid t the end of Shadows of Self (I think that was the books anyways) where he sees the memory from the coin that we assume was Kelsier.

I used to pronounce it differently (dur-AL-you-min) but I kept getting called out by metalworkers.

Did you seriously put ETTMETAL there???? How dare you do this to sazed. (Wait why is it harmonium and not sazedium??? Its true name *SHOULD* be sazedium no? Like how trellium is the wrong name of bavadinium. All named godmetals (Ati-um, Leras-ium, Rayse-ium, Bavadin-ium) are named after their respective VESSELS, but HARMONIUM alone is named after the shard???

You could also argue that Harmony is kind of Sazed’s chosen name. There isn’t really precedent for a bishardic entity. Given that the intents of the two shards haven’t merged, Sazed could be referred to as “the vessel of Ruin and Preservation.” Being Harmony is his choice, so perhaps he relates to the name
