Can You Make Zombies With Medication?

Myths In Mental Health Stigma.
My 4th myth regards the idea that medication induces a zombie state in schizophrenia. Actually, I think highs and lows of mood and mental pace and attention quality (zombie zone out) are a natural part of the experience of mental health issues in general.
I think it is natural to go from a high paced crisis to a longer low period.
BC Schizophrenia Society is running a campaign to raise awareness about myths and facts regarding schizophrenia.

Stay strong. I'm not on medication but feel like I need it. After watching your video it seems like medication might not be the best idea. Is there any other methods to help this condition?

Actually, if you are out of hospital but have symptoms, connecting with a doctor is a good idea. Try to find out whether they will accept your input before divulging too much. If you are not in hospital, you can hopefully safely try some low doses before symptoms might worsen, if you feel like you need some kind of stabilizer and support. I think in particular intense cases that provoke hospitalization encourage doctors to medicate a lot, and there is more bouncing around of the patient. Right now, if you are "free" and "in control", you'll have a lot more say than if the medical system there eventually decides they're in control of your treatment. Of course, laws might be different there. I've heard of long term lock up where they don't force treatment, if refused or cannot be afforded, but that doesn't sound preferable to me.

Most kicked back I've seen you! Haha Makes sense forsure! Kinda like anti depressants "may cause suicidal thoughts" I think it's just not 100% effective in eliminating all the symptoms (just my thought tho)

Yes indeed, especially in some cases. Now, some meds do cause ideation sometimes and they should be monitored for potentially causing them so those meds can be promptly discontinued. Another med will be better and not have that same effect. This should be done with a doctor. Same if ideation was there already but it increases on a new med. Ultimately no med is worth it if serious ideation is increased on that med, I think regardless of any other benefit it might have. Suicide must be prevented as much as possible, and easy if sometime a different med would be more effective at that.
