The reason it's easier is because Roblox has a giant userbase with very low standards for what a game should and can be(they're kids) and most of the time, they refuse to leave Roblox or close the tab on their browsers, so it's easy to attract players if you know how to make brainrotting games like anime games, obbies, simulators, and tycoons

it’s a decent side hustle for 13-18 year olds cuz developer exchange is allowed after age of 13 on roblox. if a game has good monetization it doesn’t need to be shown on the front page to generate more than doctor’s monthly salary in USA. 1k-10k and it will generate more than doctor’s monthly salary in USA.

Bloxburg (40k players avg) made around 37m between 2021 and 2022, meaning they almost certainly make over an average of 5m yearly, split between like what? less than 10 devs? thats definitely more than a doctor if these estimations are correct, even when you divide the amount by 4, to get the amount for 10k players avg

Sponsors, run a 10k sponsor when ever you can and your Guaranteed to eventually get recognition… some may argue that nobody has money to buy their game to success essentially but this is a method I’ve found to work but there are others so if you are unable to do this method please don’t give up

A game with 500 average playercount can definitely make at least 1-2 million robux monthly if monetization is done properly so yes it is possible to be a roblox dev as a career. Especially since you'd be working from home so your living costs would be cheaper as you don't need to spend money travelling to work. However, making a game people want to play depends entirely on you. The average person can't easily make an enjoyable game.

There is an scp 173 demonstration game in Roblox that gets 700 players in average. It has like only 2 rooms. Lucky. My own game is dead now but it peaked at 60 players back then

Fyi, roblox doesn't necessarily help u earn money directly, but is a great way for attracting people for a certain events, such as if ur roblox game gets a certain amount of player, try to use other media (youtube, discord etc.) to promote sales/ads as every little things count if accumulated enough

This actually goes above my calculations that 1M visits could generate around 5000$. And honestly I feel like when doing everything right it's a very possible number to hit, although I might be wrong as I have never developped anything on roblox. But I studied the algorithm and I know most mechanics and human psychology very well

If you become a very big one, make a whole community you can earn more than that, but its very hard to get to the front page.

im a game developer, this is semi true, large game devs like some of my friends make around 20m robux a month, and i dont have a big game i mostly work for games and get percentages so i only make around 5m a month, smaller game devs make 0 from games but from commissions can make 30k a month. current devex is 0.0035 so multiply whatever number that someone making in robux by 0.0035 to get their amount in usd

Yeah but the thing is my games are very popular when they barely released already almost 200 visits on it

And yes for those outside the US you still have to pay taxes to the IRS because of the form you need to sign with them. in order to even participate in the DevEx program. Even if your not a citizen or duel citizen of the united states. Not recommended to go this route as if your projects flop in terms of income then your basically going to owe the IRS money come tax payment. And you don't want to owe money to them even if your from another country.

No if you outside of the us you sign a tax document to pay taxes in your own country not irs too its called W-8 tax form

If you already have some robux then sponsor the game and it will appear on the sponsored bit of the front page

At the end, you wouldn't really understand how everything worked, so it's harder to combine where as if you made the codes yourself, it's a lot more flexible

I’m just going to be honest and give you developers tips. A game that has had 20 hours of work put into it normally pays out better than a game you work really hard on why you may ask? @@enzoatix He doesn't take 30% but he does take 10% so the person receiving the donation loses 30% to roblox themselves and 10% to hazem so they only get 60%. Either way, he's still incredibly rich from that 10%.

Alr im a roblox developer for almost 5 years (mostly scripting, making visual effects) just for fun i made 3 complete games just to play it with my friends so i have no idea of making a game popular BUT, i saw lots of very talented developers hard works going to waste. If you are going to make a game with passion, an unique game, a game which is actually good; dont expect your game to be played in roblox, most people prefer trash anime simulator clones and you will fail with a 99.9% chance. If you are an amateur like me, making stuff for fun/ to test yourself/ gaining skills yeah roblox is a great place to do that scripting is very simple and you get free servers, free assets and stuff. If you are really skilled or planning to be a hard working/professional developer please do it independently if you can for better oppurtunities. It's not worth the risk. If you just want money well just make like 1000 anime simulator clones and maybe one of them will be chosen by the algorithm and blessed by the front page(so it can be played by 8 yo kids)

if you are just starting off i dont recommend a team. get a team once you grow. you can learn on vidoes on youtube and also playing around in studios will help u
