Despite having seen none of the shows on this list except for Spirited Away, a bit of Naruto and Bleach growing up, I was only able to guess Spike, Bakugo, Tanjiro, Saitama, Sakura and Erina. And as someone who likes a decent amount of popular JP voice actors and recognize their voices 70% of the time, I immediately recognize Bakugo and Tanjiro's voice because of watching too much anime where their VAs are in.

Whilst I like these "Guess the anime" challenge videos, I'd love to see an episode in this series showcasing shows that aren't licensed by Funimation/Viz/etc. All the clips you chose were super mainstream, and easier to get than stuff that's lesser known. Throw in some Himouto! Umaru-chan or as someone else mentioned SAO. Throw in some stuff that's currently airing at time of video release.

I actually enjoy the fact that every anime fan has their knowledge when it comes to both sub and dub 🙂 some things I memorize from japanese and others I memorize from dubbed lol

Not bad. Definitely feels like I'm getting older though. I was expecting a lot more older anime. I haven't watched a lot of the newer anime like my hero, demon slayer, JJK, etc. They all follow the same shounen formula. It's tiring at this point honestly

Why am I not surprised that most of these were Shonen? Then again, Shonen is very popular here in the west lol. I LOVE Sailor Moon, it's still my fav franchise, but would have been nice to see other Shojo or more female oriented anime get some love. Like Madoka Magica and Fruits Basket were brought up. And yeah I would have had to turn in my Moonie badge if I didn't get Mars on the first try lol. It has been awhile since I watched Salor Moon though (reboot or original).

I personally prefer the dub for One Piece especially when Franky joins.. he is such a bro/American kind of character and the voice actor nails him in the dub!

The sub tripped me up bc I watch primarily dub. Wish they did clue 1 in both languages since most times people watch one or the other. Hating on dubs doesn’t make you popular or any more of an anime fan.

You could make another of these but with other anime like Nanatsu no Taizai, JJBA, Initial D, Rosuto Yunibasu, Hokuto no Ken, etc

Why people be hating on English dub??? The VA’s do a wonderful job and not everyone has the attention span to both read the subtitles and watch the scene at the same time. Let’s appreciate the anime and the voice actors regardless of what language it’s translated to

Because people like to gatekeep a language they can’t speak. I just say enjoy whatever you want. To the people like that sub. Stop being snobby to others. To the dub watchers stop trying to make sub watchers like the dub. It’s prolly never going to happen. I will say the dub actors are getting a lot better and becoming more diverse. There are many VAs now. Chris Sabat, Aleks Le and so many others are really talented. I wish the community can stop bashing each other and just enjoy the anime

The ones who hate and bash on dubs are the toxic wanna be Japanese weebs that can’t be persuaded or reasoned with 😂 the best you can do is just ignore them and enjoy anime the way you want. Trust me, once you completely ignore their cries for attention, they get tired and die off one by one

While the Bakugo voice is very easy/distinctive that saiyu uses that voice for a ton of wild/unhinged characters like the notorious lvl 5 esper codenamed Accelerator from the "Toaru"/"A certain" universe of shows

It tends to be a bit different in each show, so I think it'd still be possible to differentiate them. Otherwise you'd just have to look for context clues I guess.
