When it comes to people changing - less selfish, less greedy, less violent etc - the question is surely, who (or what) initiates and produces the actual change? Is it the individual themselves, or does the whole business of change relate to some higher, more fundamental level of reality? In other words, that it's not us (as individual people) that cause ourselves to change. Rather, we only change _in response to_ our personal circumstances - i.e. as and when we have no choice but to change. Which, of course, then raises the big, controversial question of free will. Are we in control of our own destiny (to any extent) or is everything merely happening by itself, of its own accord, and we are little more than puppets within the bigger picture?

Same thought here. It seems the whole life drama takes place in the different shades of the thick skinned and thin skinned people...ie Empaths and narcissists..

It's very difficult to understand but when one understands it, one will be blown by it! All happenings that ever happened, happened NOW, the difficulty in understanding it is because we assume this NOW is part of Time, actually Now has nothing to do with time, it's outside of Time, it's not a moment in time. This NOW is eternal....

Yes, it needs long drawn consideration...but abrupt decision to change, the will to change if happens instantly...if we make up our mind to change at this point... Vs gradual, long drawn process of changing... thinking,, thinking long, contemplating etc etc... which is better, choices...
