Totally agree. Both are 5'8, slender and petite frame with bright ash blonde hair. The only things she needs to pull off the full look is blue eye contacts and she's absolutely a match. Pair her up with Once Upon A Time's Elizabeth Lail as Princess Anna and you have a perfect match for the characters of Elsa and Anna.

100% not a knock on Anya but I'd prefer someone who is more of a powerhouse singer. You are going to be compared to IDINA MENZEL so audiences need to be at ease from the very 1st trailer and I think only a more successful singer could do that. I always thought Dove Cameron would do well after she nails Glinda in the movie adaptation of Wicked.

She looks ethereal, i mean this is must be how Tolkien Elf would look like in real life

The fact Anya likes Atlantis, Anastasia, and Treasure Planet is awesome. I love all those films as well and I rarely hear anyone talk about them so I'm glad she mentioned them. They deserve more credit.

People talk about those movies all the time

She feels like so dorky, down on earth and fun to ba around. No wonder she brings so much life to the characters she plays.

The shyness with how she says "Thank you" just flows with what feels to be such genuine sincerity and class.

Anya loving Anastasia and bringing it to more people’s attention just made my day 🥰

Amazing that she identifies with these "animatransition" movies. All used a combination of computer imagery with hand drawn cell animation to create a distinct look of the time. They all had technical "ouch!" moments, but the overall movies are all under-rated.

Yup! It’s also my personal favorite, especially for being a ‘Disney-like, non-Disney’ movie.

I know New Mutants wasn't good, but I really love Magik and I think Anya did a phenomenal job with her. Mr. Feige, she already knows how to cross through portals, so... 🥺

Okay, 1: I was so bowled over when she said that. Also, 2: You now have given me a dream that must come true, and I want it more than a lot of things I wanted a few minutes ago before I read your comment. Treasure Planet would be so so so so so good in Kingdom Hearts. Atlantis would be a little more stretching but would still be great.

I thought she is good and everything. Now that I came to find that she likes Treasure Planet and Atlantis, I'm convinced that she is a genuinely lovable soul and beautiful thoroughly in and out.

I already thought she was wonderful, but the fact she mentioned Atlantis AND TREASURE PLANET?! My heart can't take it

She's perfect!

Her version of Downtown is awesome. It's got a great haunted feeling to it without being creepy. And she's got such great facial expressions during it.

They synced up their finger guns and tongue-clicks PERFECTLY.

As a fellow journalist, I'm so inspired by Ali's interviews. He's a fantastic interviewer who always asks interesting questions and has a good rapport with his guests. Also I'd love to see Anya as Anastasia, she'd be perfect. It's one of my favourite princess films growing up

She’s so humble and cute!!

I hope she becomes that actress who are this humble yet so talented that people would think of giving her any roles because she would do a hell of a good job in everyone of them.

I’ve said it so many times but I will gladly repeat it: Ali Plumb is *the best*. Anytime one of his interviews comes out it automatically makes my day and I constantly rewatch his interviews just because they put a smile on my face. @@FramesPerSecond No knock to Sean because I have him with Ali too, but Ali's interviews seem to be a lot grander than Sean's. Maybe it's because Sean is also doing something with the guest besides talking, but Ali's interviews just seem more "official". I'd add Graham Norton with those two as well.

I think what makes Anya rise to the top so quickly is because she seems so down to earth and game for anything (in addition to being an incredible actress), and she seem so genuine and sincere

To be honest, she is a bit expression less and an overrated actress to be honest. Hollywood has created this beauty contest to get more viewers really and not because she is some sort of young talent.

I literally adore her, she’s so down to earth and you can tell she just loves what she does! So refreshing to see, keep up the amazing work Anya!

She loves her job so much and it shows in all her work. It's really refreshing to see someone enjoy and feel grateful for the unique opportunities theyre given and Anya really takes them and turns any film she's in into gold. Love that girl.

I absolutely love Björk's covers of "Anyone Who Had a Heart" and "Downtown", and when I heard those songs again in Last Night in Soho, I became even more obsessed with the film, and it's just such a nice kind of full circle moment that Anya who also covered "Downtown" stars alongside Björk.

The animations which Anya recommended are still nice to enjoy today. Appreciate her more now

I loved Anastasia growing up! She would be perfect. They need to make this idea a reality now please!

She seems to be very cheerful and bubbly. WOW, I just realised she was the main character in Split !!!

The first time I ever noticed her was when she played in The Queen’s Gambit. That tv show was a great choice for her to be in because it helped in showing her potential. She’s a talented actress. This young women is going to go places.

Someone please make a petition to have Anya officially play Anastasia in a live action version! Also, her mentioning Treasure Planet and Atlantis are brilliant! ❤️

Her voice is so smooth and relaxing. She would be great doing a podcast telling stories or doing radio drama!

I'd want a petition for Anastasia more than Frozen. I'd imagine it would be really tough to convince Disney to do a live action movie of their most successful IP too. Live action shatters the element of pretend for young girls since there is now a real face to the character. Frozen is also still new in comparison to a ton of their other movies.

She was great in The Menu. The movie definitely holds your attention from start to finish

She said Anastasia was her favorite AND she knew it wasn’t Disney…. I’m in love. Swooning over her

She is so uniquely beautiful and talented

Saw The Northman at an early screening. Probably Eggers best movie to date. Although, for me, the movie had a very similar feel to Ridley Scott & Russel Crowe’s Gladiator, it was such a visceral and visually grounded look on Norse Mythology. Highly recommend it!

I really didn't like it.

One of the only ones of these interview videos I didn't skip through. You can tell how passionate she is. Very well edited. Felt like a genuine conversation.

Everytime I look at her, I'm stunned by her beauty, talent and soothing voice.

She'd be good as Elsa if there's ever any live action Frozen

Treasure Planet is basically the old Disney classic Treasure Island, but in space. It’s pretty good. The only drawbacks are the main character’s super-90’s rat tail haircut (didn’t age well), and Martin Short’s robot character (who that gets a little annoying after a while).

New Mutants was actually pretty good. The marketing was rather bad, since they couldn't decide if they wanted to portray it as a horror film or an X-Men film. Though I seriously doubt it, would love the MCU multiverse to bring New Mutants into the films.

@@vlogily8043 most likely due to contract obligations that Fox made a commitment to other services prior to the Disney buyout. In the future, it should stay on Disney+ for good once the past contracts are up.

Serious petition for Anya to be cast in a live action adaptation of Anatasia. I would 100% watch that!

I don't remember who the interview was with... but the first time I saw her do a video interview she was remoting in (might've been during quarantine?) and wearing silk pajamas and a wild wig and I thought... yes... THIS... this is how you remote interview. She's a pleasure to listen to, lovely to see, and such a talent. Queen's Gambit was my intro to her and I was ALL IN and binged the entire season until i was fully though... work be damned... I'm busy.

I feel she could be my best friend when she was able to name a few cult classic animations (and make the distinction that Anastasia is NOT Disney). She's one of my own. The interview was on point with pacing, wording, and just good chemistry between both. Great video.
