Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

ThankZ for tunin' in to another episode of Createx Tech TipZ Tuesday w/ BrusHstroKeZ!!! In Episode 2, I will show you how to wet and dry sand Createx UVLS 4050 Gloss clear coat as well as buffing it. This is a water based clear coat. It is extremely versatile. UVLS clear can be used as an adhesion promoter to almost any surface including DTM (I've had great success direct to stainless steel even), it makes an amazing candy carrier, and can also be used as an intercoat clear or a top coat clear. Available in Gloss, Matte, and Satin. This clear is industrial strength but not solvent proof. Find the best prices on UVLS at Spraygunner.com, link below. If you have any questionZ, drop them in the comments below or find me on FB or Instagram and shoot me a message.
Until the next one, keep those brusheZ strokin'!!!

Thanks, not boring - informative. I'm watching this while my UVLS clear coat dries before I polish it. Many thanks again, and your results echo my own experience.

Pretty sure this is the only video of its kind on KZread. Like you said, Createx doesn’t say much about it and I was wondering how it would handle the abuse. Thanks for doing this!

For sure man, ur welcome! I did it because there’s nothing out there. Wanted everyone to have some info on it. Definitely recommend wet sanding it for best finish. And sands & buffZ pretty good. If there’s anything else you’d like to see me do or try, let me know and I’ll make a vid! ThankZ🤘🏻

Man the wet sand looks smooth! The middle does to but from my view the water sanding looks better! Thanks for the demo bro!!

Thought I replied to this message a while ago, but guess not. The wet sanding definitely did turn out noticeably better than the rest. Highly recommend wet sanding it when using UVLS as a top coat.

Thanks for doing these tests so I don't have to ;) I have used 4050 as a candy carrier and as top coat on some speed shapes. Works well for candy in spraygun application, but is not even close to 2k as a final top coat. Then again, Createx doesn't recommend it either for anything automotive. Doesn't hurt to test though :)

No problem man! ThatZ exactly why I made this vid, so other won’t need to or wanted to know. And I agree. Excellent for candy and added to paint. But definitely not an outdoor top coat and definitely not near the depth as 2k.

ItZ awesome stuff! Not the 2k durability or shine, but has multiple uses for custom painting and does have it’s place as a finish on certain thingZ.

I use Norton wool and foam pads for my 3”. They’re getting harder to find, but usually big auto body supply stores stock them.

I wonder if it is any good to use when using a dry flake gun and how many coats compared to 2k to bury the flake? Or maybe 4030 might be better for the dry flake then bury with 4050? Any one had experience with this

I’ve done a few vidZ using the Flake King dry flake gun and UVLS/4050. Here’s a link to one of them: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dYCl3K9tfcnIcto.html. Depends on what clear u use as to how many coats to bury. 3 coatZ of Tamco 2104 Euro Clear will bury flake, very high solids.

I tried but it’s not thick enough to bury flake. Maybe with 7-10 coats but that extensive build up.

4050 sucks as a final clear. Createx scenix 7030 SSR clear is better. And now they advise using 4011 and no 4015 crosslinker with the 7030.... not impressed when used that way. It takes 10 years to dry and it doesn’t cut and buff nicely after it finally dries. I still think the 7030 w 4015 and 4012 is the best createx clear product. With crosslinker it dries fast and hard and can be wet sanded in a couple hours and it buffs quite nice for a waterborne clear. Wayyyyy better than 4050. I use 100 percent createx paint but I now only use solvent based final clear - House of Kolor USC-1. I dont have to cut and buff. Ever. There is absolutely no comparison. And... speaking of 4050.... I still think 4030 is better when adding to colors. I haven’t tried candy yet, so maybe 4050 is better there... but overall not impressed with 4050 as a final clear or even as an intercoat clear.

I don’t recommend 4050 as final clear on anything. I always 2k clear now that I have a booth. 4050 is tricky to spray at first, needs 20% reducer for me. It’s killer with candy. And I prefer it with paint when in a spray gun. I do like 4030 better for airbrushing, thinner so better flow. And 4050 is a killer adhesion promoter. Great on un-scuffed stainless and other metals and even stickZ to glass. I love 4050!!!

@@BrusHstroKeZ I am doing a crazy 12 color job right now and decided to use 4050 for the paint in both 1.3 RP and 0.5 Grex airbrush. It’s thick but it seems to flow fine for both. I Still haven’t tried with candy but seems good as an additive. I have only reduced by 10% but I spray high air low paint anyway because of the complex tape and I can’t afford any bleeding and over reducing is my enemy. I just keep a rag with a bit of 4012 to clean the needle tip every so often. On this job, I actually used SSR clear first for adhesion promoter. I’m glad to hear 4050 is also good. I just got a handful of new jobs and I’m sure someone will want some candy... we will see. I’m hoping someone wants an old school low rider theme or something like that with candy and sparkles. I’ve been dying to use the tequila yellow and the dirt track brown. That will give me time to use 4050 as a carrier.

Glad 4050 is working better for ya. FYI- 4050 is replacing SSR Clear. It’s basically the same thing, except no need for cross linker now per Craig Kennedy. So SSR Clear with be obsolete soon. Love 4050 as an additive to paint, dries faster and is more durable. Love flake, candy, and lowrider patternZ!!! I want to do a brown, gold, and yellow themed something too! And sorry for the delayed response to ur first message. I replied a few times and it wasn’t saving my replies to anyone for a few weeks for some reason. Would love to see some of ur work sometime!!!
