Can you CRUSH Class 3 in a Scale Rig? [RC Speedy R2 Against North VS South Utah RC Crawling Finals!]

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

It’s time, ladies, and gentlemen! We’ve made it to the 2023 North VS South Utah RC Crawling Championship Finals!! Held out in the center of Utah at Desert Mountain-an area known for some amazing hard lines-this is the event where the best drivers from throughout the State of Utah come together and lay it all out on the line to see who comes out on top and clenches the title of the best driver in the state for C2, C3, and unlimited class!
This time, we’re looking at Zac from Utah County Crawler run through course one in Class 3 in his RC Speedy R2 moon buggy build! This is one capable scale crawler, but let’s see how it stacks up against quite a difficult course-will Zac be able to keep up with the cheater rigs? Or will the big cage and scale features of the RC Speedy R2 hold him back? We’ll find out!

Absolutely dialed! Zac certainly puts in the work to get his rigs performing at the top level. Appreciate the comment! 🤙🏼🤘🏼

Def agree about heavy rigs more predictable. The flat rail is like a as light as possible with weight down low thing....and bam you scale up stuff if you set up right.....idk if the Speedy style looks any more realistic to me. The power wagon etc are real trucks. Not cut to nothing lol.....but for me not being out here with the tube chassis thing in 1:1 a body looks more realistic. Also for me goes back to original question what can slay the most lines.......then I guess it’s the super class and bullies!!! ✌️🍻😁😁

Great insights-thanks for sharing! I think I'm split with the realism aspect now that you say that; it really could go either way, and it's probably more a matter of what purpose the builder set out with rather than anything else. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 🤘🏼🤙🏼🤘🏼

Great input-I think many drivers are in your boat; it's all about what we can afford to get out on the rocks with without breaking the bank! 🤘🏼🤙🏼

I enjoy both types of rigs but when it comes to pure performance a flat rail is hard to beat. Just one note of constructive criticism, try to keep the commentary more “in the moment”. It’s a little tough to both watch what’s currently happening and remember the footage of what your currently commenting on. I know that’s probably easier said than done though. Always love your videos Alec!

I agree-those pesky flat rails are tough to beat when it comes to performance! But thank you for the feedback, Cam-I really appreciate it!

They are pricey! Super sweet rigs, though. I'd definitely have one if I could afford it! 🤘🏼🤙🏼

C channels are the only ones we have in a group of ten except for a 1.9 wraith. We intend on keeping it that way as class 2. We don’t necessarily use sorrca rules but it’s a good way to base rules. Anything over 4.76 are not used. 2 were builders kits the others were RTR’s Upgrades are fun watching them improve but keeps things on an even playing field. Nevertheless in sorrca I’d cheat my cheater rig as much as possible in class 3 levels like every one else is doing. If running class 3 would probably use flat rail cheater rigs.

I love c-channels, myself! I still run my C2 Rock Pirates 10.2 rig and have continued to tune it and it continues to keep up with even some of the more pricey and complex flat-rail rigs. But I think the best part about the hobby is seeing all of the different things that people do with their rigs, and how there's something for everyone!
