    90% that I'm off a different religion. But I underrated what you mean. I wasn't very religious when I was younger, but the rest of my family was. As I got older, I found more meaning in my faith and I have turned into a more religious person. Being religious has helped me remain positive in hard times. I hope you are able to work out of your funk.

    @@AutoRevLifeAs adults it becomes more relatable. The importance of raising children in a godly home is very important but what’s more important is living his words. I too find more peace as I spend time in my faith. Our flesh can’t fathom spiritual reality. Without getting into depth, life in itself makes no sense, other than to spread his word and love.

    I actually sprayed my car with cans following your videos. What I did after though was hit it with some 2500 3m wet sandpaper to knock of all the orange peel, then buffed, the thing looked damn near close to having clear coat on it. Eventually I did put down 2k clear on it, just rubbed it back with 1000 grit and cleared.

    Sure you could nit-pick this thing for days, but for a couple cans of spray paint and a little compound it looks fantastic on a ~20 year old car all day long. Plus if you need to fix a scratch or dent down the road its super easy, just blend and buff.. Done. "bbUt iTs fInNa fAdE!!!!" So....paint it again for 60 bucks? Or hit it wit 2K clear and its good forever. Love it.

    Fellow Texan here! Don’t let the negative comments get you down - ‘haters gonna hate’. Been watching many of your videos and you do an excellent job. I’ve learned a lot but most importantly - NOT TO BE AFRAID of taking on the challenge and the work. Prep and painting carefully are your talents. Thank you and keep it up. BTW - in my humble opinion - your paint jobs and final finish match or beat some of the work I’ve seen on vehicles coming out of body shops. Doing my golf cart this summer, and I will be excited to see the change it will bring to an older golf cart with a washed out and faded original finish. I will be using rustoleum and 2k clear to finish it off. Thanks for your hard work and your faith in our Savior. God is Good….

    Everyone has their own techniques, looks better than some jobs I’ve seen that people say they got it painted professionally. I will recommend after using the compound which is the 1st step in buffing to go over your first step with the second step which is the machine polish for 3m, or corse there’s more brands. There’s 3 steps in buffing that I use for working in a body shop. But for solid colors besides dark colors you can finish in the second step and you’ll be surprised on the results. Anyway keep up the good work 👍💪

    All you did here was remove the overspray (gritty sound/feeling) Also as far as your buffing "technique" saying "it works so I'll continue to do it my way" is very close minded/"stuck in your ways" thing to say when you are receiving a a helpful comment from someone who is obviously more experienced. That said, absolutely no one should do what you did here on their vehicle when it comes time to buff. You didn't decon the paint, you used a pad that should've been thrown away a year ago, your on off on off motion, going over edges, and extreme angle of the rotary wheel in certain areas. If you are that worried about burning through that you need to pulse the rotary, you need to step down to an orbital buffer and get acquainted with that tool first. I applaud what you are doing and your creativity, but learning how to do things the right way and in turn showing your audience how to do things the right way is something I hope you take into consideration after reading this comment. God bless

    I can take constructive criticism when it’s not disguised as hate. Also I’ve done this many years and I’ve never had an issue with the way I do it so that’s why I said what I said and I’m not taking it back I’m not ashamed of what I said. Also I’m one of the least close minded people you’ll ever meet but when I find a method that works why change it? Especially if the method works thank you for your comment in time God bless you too

  • @ronnieslides

    @ronnieslides

    @@JamesDguy no sir, you taking what I said as heat is almost proving my point. Just because you haven’t had an issue doesn’t mean you’re doing it correctly. I’m not sure what you mean by “it has worked for me” because if you went and buffed a car that had oem paint or real clear on top you’d leave behind halos and swirls.

    Great video well done on the paint job. The reason to be consistent with the power button on the buffer is to do with creating even and consistent heat as to cut the paint evenly across the whole section your working on. By varying the speed input you are constantly changing the amount of heat produced and thus changing the amount of cut your getting from the compound and pad.

I have A Prius beater that needs a repaint badly, I'm going to be trying the rustoleum spray gun paint job using acetone and hardener... did you ever do that before, if you did any suggestions on mix ratios and prep? Keep up the good work, preach the gosple my brother, I will be ordering some much... hope it helps!

    Pulsing the buffer isn't doing anything to them paint at all the purpose of using a buffer and compound is to smooth and shine the paint but the only way to achieve that is by allowing the pad to heat up compound works with heat you buffed way to fast you'll never heat the pad up pulsing the buffer.... I'm not bashing your method just giving a word of advice brother....

    Wouldn't it have came out smoother by laying the clear immediately after paint since the clear is a higher quality paint? I'm gonna paint a 3rd gen Prelude this way...I got 12 cans of Rust-Oleum Apple Red and 6 cans of 2k clear.

    @@JamesDguy I know. I'm a bodyshop and detail guy. I've painted lots of cars professionally and unprofessionally. But I really would have never attempted to buff gloss spray paint till now. Of course never flat or semi wich im a bigger fan of flats only because it's usually camo or off road use things. thank you I want to do the subie in gloss now. I was going to do gloss down low for better durability and flat on top. But flat fades really fast in the sun.

    I find out it's much better for the 1st stuff you had put on there to use your hands and buffet in there with your hands so that way you don't overburn it but it really cleans up the scratches and give it more better details than go ahead and take the rag and wipe it off after it dries and then go ahead and use the other same brand and Polish it and then afterwards I use this out of stuff as a coding to put on top of it So this way in the future every time I wash my car I could go ahead and this spray to stuff and it still looks good. I understand why you kind of pulled the trigger a little-by-little I don't know if yours has a setting on it if you know what the setting is then you don't have to worry about as burning the clear coat especially on the edges you gotta be careful it's on the fence side stay can burn pretty easy and if you have the setting up too high but keep doing what you're doing cause Lisa's coming out the way you want it👍😇💫✨️💫❤️‍🔥😎
