David your a good guy and I like you. I have been a professional poker player for 17 years. Gambling should never be a financial burden. If I had to say what a professional gambler is that would be someone like myself. When you are disciplined and know every single odd on a bet your about to make. When you know what you can lose or win if the risk vs reward is there. What you can afford to lose and can avoid chasing a loss. When you can have rules that you follow regarding budget. It takes many years and learning from years of mistakes. There are great weeks and bad weeks. I can honestly say that it is hard to justify a 9 to 5 paying job for me personally. There are days that I make what some take a month to earn. However another thing a professional will do is NOT return after those wins until all the bills have been paid with those winnings. That is a professional gambler. Keep up the great work that you guys do. God bless to you and your team.

hi jim i am sure i saw your face at the poker table. i played them all here in las vegas. the mirage opening in 89 was amazing. the money and fun , comps there were the best over. donna harris knew how to run a room. she offer the best reward to the players there. if you remember every Thanksgiving she would hope a buffet dinner for her players. i retire from poker in 2019 as the games have dried up so much. its nitts, grinders out there now.. there is less poker rooms and far a few juicy games. i am glad i still have my health and enjoy life better now..

I submitted the roulette system dream maker. The crazy part was I was in the Oilfield at the time and I was going to retire from the Oilfield in the month of March and I was a truck driver too so you called it. I was laid off right before Xmas so I did not make it to March. After watching the video I knew exactly who you guys were referring too. I watched your channel and Chris's channel and I told my wife they think I'm someone else and I'm trolling them. I only watch your channel and have for a very long time and actually used a lot of your systems. I just wanted to clear the air on that and I still love you guys. And no I was unable to live my dream and retire on that system because my family is more important but when I do I'll stop by the school and practice lmao. Thank you for keeping everything real.

I try to educate blackjack players about casino tactics at blackjack. I have pulled off players from 6-5 blackjack games and continuously shuffled games. It’s necessary to get gamblers off these games so the casinos make $0 with them. We must force the casinos to offer more player friendly blackjack games. Look, they even hit soft 17 as well. When I lived in Las Vegas, all strip casinos stood on all 17s. We blackjack players are all playing on the same side of the table. We need to help each other out. Don’t accept these horrible blackjack conditions. Just don’t play if the blackjack pays 6-5 or the continuous shuffle machine is in use.

@@Lee-fr7hx I don’t travel to different casinos. Casino blackjack conditions are variable from casino to casino and also within the same casino. It’s important to refuse to play blackjack at casinos that offer terrible games. If a casino doesn’t have any playable games, then simply don’t play at all. The players have the money. The players must avoid all bad blackjack games. Then the casino must either offer a better game, or no game at all. This holds true for all the other games, even slot machines. Know the odds on all bets you make.

Martingale modified at Craps field bet will work if you don't double bets, only covering part of losses, giving you more rolls: $5, 6, 8, 10,12, 15, 25, 50, 125, 250, and 500. Especially when field rolls of 12 pay triple, player can lose 11 in a row and not be wiped out. You will win enough to pay for bad streak. Catch up progression of $5, 25, 50, 125, 250, 500 once in a while.

Poker is an interesting one. There are plenty of people who are good enough to make a living at the game. But it takes so much discipline off the felt. You have to put in the hours. You have to manage your bankroll meticulously. You can't get lost in the pit. I think what's telling about poker pros is, even of the subset who manage to make their living off of the game -- even a really good living -- most would advise others against becoming a pro. It takes a long time to get good, the lows are very low, and it's truly a grind. As the old saying goes, it's the hardest way to make an easy living.

  • @malarimer

    @malarimer

    9 ай бұрын

@@RandomPerson-nd2ey Yeah, it's pretty common, especially in the tournament scene. In theory, it's good for a few things: -- It lowers your variance because it allows you to lock up some win rate (they usually sell at markup, e.g. at 1.3 markup, you pay 13% of the buy-in and get 10% of the return -- the player gets the 30% extra, risk-free) --It can allow you to play higher stakes than your bankroll would otherwise allow (few people have the bankroll to (sustainably) play the WSOP Main, but it's so soft and there's so much money sloshing around, it worth selling your way in) --This ties into both of the above, but it allows you to play on a shallower bankroll. It's really hard to build up a sustainable amount of money to deal with tournament swings (typically only 15% of the field cashes a tournament, and the majority of payouts are pretty small, so you lose much more often than you win/downswings can be massive) The other thing players do is swap with one another (e.g. I give you 10% of my action/you give me 10% of yours). Swaps and selling action are reasonable, but they can definitely lead to some problems. You hear lots of stories of backers getting stiffed. Long-term backing deals have something called makeup (long-term agreements dictate that the backer recoups losses before wins are split). People can get so buried in makeup, it's impossible to climb out (though, those losses ultimately fall on the backer -- but they are the also the ones who have to sever the relationship). Selling action can also just help mask the fact that you're unprofitable and keep you in action longer than you should be. Overall, I think pros who sell action see it as a net positive. I take their word for it, but I personally stay away. (But, I'm not playing for a living. I'd probably see it as necessary if I were a tourney pro.) Ultimately -- and I think this is your point -- it shows how hard it is to make it in poker. It's not winning millions/flying first class/popping champagne. It's way more grinding/staying afloat/putting in hours/minimizing risk. And frankly, nearly everyone goes busto at least once in their career -- even the ones who ultimately make it.

I was making a living on $1 and $5 slots. I went in every day, at 5 a.m. and had my pick of machines. In those days, they paid out in coins. i wasn't worried about hitting the jackpots. I mean, sure, it was nice when I did but, that wasn't what I counted on. I would ask the slot girls, which machines they'd had to refill, that hadn't jackpotted because those machines were paying out more than they were taking in. I would sit at those machines and make at least $200 in about an hour. Now I play craps and, while I don't make it my living, I probably could. I just don't go to the casinos like I used to. I moved out in the country in TN and it's about an hour drive to go to a casino. I'm retired and just enjoying my and my bride's existence. I like your channel because you show the real deal and I also like the idea of players being able to learn to play the games and being guaranteed a $35 per hour loss. LOL

Appreciate this commentary. The casino is not an ATM. The games are for fun. Hopefully you win. Usually not but we have fun and know when to quit. Having dealers like yourself makes it money well spent. Fun fun fun. I'm pretty good at craps but I would never consider quiting my job and playing craps professionally. I've seen too many do this and lose everything. Professionals who actually win are 1 in a million. Nobody can defeat the laws of probability and physics. The casino wins approximately 51% of the time the way I gamble with my strategies. I will win 49% of the time. I'm good with that. I have a great time and meet awesome people. That's where the real jackpot is.

I can appreciate this advice. It's well-intentioned and what a lot of people need to hear, but I don't think it's entirely accurate. I listen to a lot of podcasts that feature professional gamblers, and I knew one personally. Most of the professionals I listen to via podcasts are card counters but not all of them. The one thing that comes across from their experiences is that it's not as easy as a lot of people imagine it to be. They are incredibly disciplined, work a tested plan, and most have come close to ruin on at least one or more occasions but they've managed to make good money doing it in the long term. Oddly enough the one I knew personally was a slot player. He was part of a team that focused on slots that had jackpots with a must payout by amount, and carefully calculated when to start playing that bank of machines to ensure they were profitable.

Okay so NOW generally i agree with you. yes, i could go be a professional gambler and play mostly Poker, Craps and Keno. And probably come out ahead more often than not through smart betting strategies, I am not going to win $100,000 in a game or lose that much either, cause if I was a professional the goal would be comp rooms pretty much every night, free buffet here and there, and only buying dinner on a nightly basis at the casinos. I would be an MGM gold or platinum meber in no time which would make this VERY VERY possible. If I am taking small wins and knowing when to stop I could come out ahead. I am a small time gambler (A few thousand a year) and in 3 years of living in Vegas I havent come out behind the casino. I have always been ahead, on e year it was only a grand, but a grand is a grand. last year I was $2300 to the good.

I must say this. For that guy who came 5 days a week and won $100 everyday off of $5 wins and it finally took him 1 whole year to lose is crazy impressive. That means he had to win 20 times off of $5 bets just to hit $100 and the fact he came 5 days a week for a year before he lost is crazy. What got him in the end was he clearly didn’t have bankroll management cuz he wasn’t used to losing. That could have saved him if he knew that.

Wish I could have caught you live. I'd ask you about the electronic roulette wheels in the casinos. I practiced considerably using a roulette simulator prior to going live (Macao) and noticed that these electronic roulette tables repeated bets considerably more often, enough that I felt it was odd. What's your opinion about electronic tables vs live dealer?

Lol, I saw Mr Mitchell’s video just a few days ago. I knew he was a scammer just by the way he was talking and flashing money. He talked as if the casinos haven’t had mathematicians go over the statistics of the games. He said betting the 1st and 3rd dozens had more numbers than the 2nd. He said the 2nd dozen has less “real estate” on the wheel because the numbers were more spread out and the 1st and 3rd were more bunched together. He didn’t understand that it’s the same proportion of the wheel and therefore the same odds…🙄🤨🤣

you are correct. and when he did his one and only demonstration, he did it on an RTG, started with $5 bets, started losing almost immediately, and had to triple martingale up to $450 hedging on zeros, and stopped with like a $15 profit. that's his brilliant system. a millionaire with a $50 production quality channel who bets $5 and only plays for 5 mins.

You are mostly right. However i have been making 300 per day, usually 5 days per week, for over 2 years now. I hit my stop loss about 6 times per month on average. Last week i hit it 4 times, so a bad week. But overall monthly i have never won less than 5000. Best month so far is 16,275. I play smart, mostly, and have learned this from tons of lost sessions. I do play roulette only and have a big bankroll, small bets. 100 win per session and 3 session per day. It is very hard to maintain this though. The mental fortitude you need to make consistent money is learned through hours and hours of play. Not everyone, in fact i would say very few people, can actually do this and keep winning. I am humbled very easily which serves me well. I dont use systems i do play certain ways based on what the wheel is doing and I always change or sit out, walk away for a bit, if i start losing. Bankroll management is possible but you need to be deep in the rabbit hole. I dont teach people because winning consistently is a learned behavior and most people cant learn fast enough or have lottery mentality. Is it possible? Ehh...yes and no. For most the answer is a strong no.

  • @HENSLEYDMB

@realfansnofilter3839 session all depends on how the table is going. Mostly I can make 100-300 in 30 min or less. If the table is rough and I have been there over 30 min and barely at 100. I will walk when in profit and come back an hour or so later and try again. Discipline is the secret and also the hardest lesson to learn. Make your goal and walk. It does not matter if you make it in 5 min.

OMG Triple-Zero Roulette? The casino's edge is the same as if you buy insurance every time it's offered at the blackjack table! That edge is 1/13 or about 7.7%, which falls into the Sucker Bet category. For double-zero Roulette, the edge is 1/19 or about 5.26%. For one-zero Roulette, the edge is 1/37 or about 2.7% Now which version of Roulette is better for the player? I think the answer is obvious. It's my opinion that if you learn the math of these games, you'll lose less, and/or you'll be able to enjoy your bankroll longer because you'd lose less of it due to the casino edge.

Yeah I generally agree you cant be a professional and win 100s of 1000s of dollars at once unless we are talking a pai Gow progressive or a slot win but no professional is gonna play slots. But what i am saying is that with a good betting strategy and an understanding of when its time to quit and not taking too many HYGE risks like betting $1000 on a pair of 3s when odds are that someone has a better hand than you, you CAN in fact make money and dare I say a living gambling if you take advantage of Comps

Actually no betting strategy can even make a dent in the house advantage. Everyone who plays loses at a rate didactic by the house advantage times the total amount of your wagers. Playing martingale or reverse martingale makes no difference. Casino limits bets because they need to have enough money to pay the occasional lucky player.
