Ganondorf felt safe knowing every weapon in Hyrule had been corroded into uselessness. Oh what he didn't know.

Hey SmallAnt you can use Tulin's wind to throw items farther, just press A on him so he comes behind you and then A again immediately after you throw your object. Extra distance.

That transition at 1:27 was CLEAN

I was really expecting at the end that the "No 'new' Weapons" clause would come back into affect during the Demon Dragon fight, allowing the challenge to be possible

Considering that the fight was done a day after the clause was made, I think he just forgot that the Master Sword was declared legal if forced by the game.

I wish there was a bombardier outfit or something that increased the damage and range of thrown items. It could have a set bonus of reduced explosive damage too.

This challenge run was such a journey, I'm glad I could witness it. Ganon trapped in angry baby jail is the funniest thing I've seen in Zelda for sure.

I want to believe that link canonically defeated the demon king by trapping him in a box and throwing gibdo bones at his face

I made it into the boss fight with 2 non-gloom hearts and no gloom food, so I just gibdo boned him in the head in bullet time to death…it was a little anti-climactic, but I didn’t want to have to come back with gloom food and/or be more careful in the lead up.

17:16. For anyone wondering the intended method of that shrine, hitting the switch makes the thing in the center spin around. You can play T-ball with it.

45:51 - Calamity gannon repeats himself from about 100 years ago

The sheer amount of creativity TotK allows for is just astounding, you can find an unorthodox solution for pretty much everything in this game

My favorite part is shrines where they're really intricate puzzles and I'm just like "what if I built a really long bridge" and it works

@@stephencorbin4043 so many folks missed it. The game devs tried to teach you with ice on top of the very first trampoline boat. It’s way faster and easier to just shoot it with a bow though. I’m just an old school Zelda gamer that loves finding the intended routes before I break the game lol

its definitely exploiting a loophole in ganondorf's AI, but given that the game technically lets you bring that into the arena and ganondorf has no moves that allow him to teleport, i wouldn't say its a glitch. the game is definitely working as intended, just to a very silly degree. i think a lot of zelda games let you use some weird, random gadget against the final boss (e.g. the bug net in skyward sword or the fishing rod in twilight princess, etc) this is just taking that to the logical extreme lol the legend of zelda - if it's stupid and it works, it's not stupid

@@glassphoenix9095 agreed, this is an exploit, not a glitch. a glitch is being able to shoot the ganon blights from outside of boss arena in botw and damage them mid-cutscene, while this is just obeying the game's logic. enemy attacks don't damage those blocks for whatever reason, ganondorf was not given a teleport move, autobuild explicitly lets you bring your creations into a boss fight- it's all allowed!

It’s so cool to see the absolute range of totk players. Like I’ve spent about 100 hours in this game and I’m finally starting to do the actual main story quests, but this man has both 100% the game, and also has done this. It’s crazy cool.

Refusing to use weapons against his enemies, he defeated them using only his wits, his charms, and a flamethrower.

1:27 is nobody else gonna talk about that crazy amazing transition??? As someone who enjoys editing video I respect that SO MUCH

i got really scared when editing my "no y button" challenge run when I saw you streaming it cause I thought you had beat me to the punch, but that damn final attack really screws over any challenge runs huh

I've been watching this guy since the Mario odyssey impossible jump days, only gotten better since then.

Im watching this video now a second time and noticed that crazy transition at 1:28. Crazy how so much he tries to make perfect content.

Great run. Super creative. I did the entire Yiga clan mission, but skipped through it mostly. Thought the helmet was the only cool reward. Didn't even realise they teach you a move. I have a hard time beating the Ghibdo on a normal playthrough so this was mad impressive. One little thing though, it was mostly a glitch/exploit less run... I wouldn't even count trapping Ganon a glitch. You figuring that out is insane enough. But the fact that he stop attacking is a bit of an exploit.

you don’t even need to attach anything to arrows, just shoot the segments

This has a similar feeling as those consumable only challenge runs out of the Soulsborne games. Fun seeing the out-of-the-box thinking.

I do really want to see more challenges like that. Maybe something like using just bows or shields to make damage or not using stamina or something
