The screen edge turnaround thing was put in by an unsung vigilante programmer at Sonic Team with questionable priorities. He previously put that feature in reverse in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and also let Knux turn around on slopes sometimes and let you push objects by charging a Spin Dash near them.

The sonic mania master has come back for more but for another game

"I don't think anybody cares about the X-Zone" I hecking do. Dimps made decent references in 2001, but didn't make the entire game boil down to a reference *like some people have with their game recently...*

Funnily enough I bought Sonic Advance alongside Sonic Advance 3 a couple days ago, since I wanted to own the GBA games and play them myself since Sonic Advance was my childhood with Sonic and I wanted to try out the other 2 games that I didn't know existed for a long while. So I hope to find Sonic Advance 2 sometime in the future.

2:54 sounds a lot like the sound that plays when you go around those little glass cups in studiopolis act 2 in sonic mania.

Omggggg!!!! This game series was so underrated. These games were so good. So pure. Oh, and egg rocket was always my least favorite zone in sonic advanced. I played it many many times with all characters, but it was always so long and annoying.

im late to this... but c'mon! Knuckles could swin in SA2, why is it weird that he can now swim in a 2d game especially with Tails being able to swim since Sonic 3

The physics differences mentioned are actually the reverse gravity segments and capability for the character to walk along the ceiling in certain non-gravity-affected sequences. Most famously in Advance 2 with the way the character can run upside down loops. Knuckles also bounces off enemies he kills when flying

For the capsule I've seen TAS videos and if you make a precise jump, the capsule will go through you and will be activated

This was my favorite sonic game because I could play as Knuckles and not have to hunt for treasure.

Seeing games like Sonic Advance and Pokemon Daimond & Pearl make me sad and nostalgic bc i miss games that were sprites 😭 still love 3D games though

Also, I always do the same move you did during Casino Paradise, even without a challenge.

This shows that Dimps can make good games

Robot knuckles 8:28 the missiles (rockets) they come out of his mouth I'm am scarred for life now.

Actually, gliding into the right wall to turn around without horizontal inputs was something you could do in sonic 3 and knuckles.

You can actually go into the ice battle with Knuckles swimming if you hold up while going into the cutscene.

That sound sounds like the opening of living into the city

Easier approach to the ice mountain boss, if you can have Knuckles swimming on the surface with some rightward momentum before the boss, hold the Up key as you float over the trigger for the boss. I've used this trick to start the boss fight already wading on the surface.

Answer: *"NO!!!"*

Difficulty sonic : impossible Difficulty Tails : almost impossible Difficulty amy : don't even think of doing that Difficulty of knuckles : the best

I could have sworn that could also move Knuckles by using his three punch combo, or am I thinking of a different 2D Sonic game

I did this challenge in Neo Reef Hill Zone. I had the same problem with the boss. Edit: I forgot to say I was at the left side facing it so I was dead.

Echidnas are very good swimmers and some of them bathe regularly and they are adorable in a flood you just see chaos everywhere then you just see a little family of echidnas just swimming around that’s why knuckles can swim

Technically Mania is Sonic 7, since if we are discounting "Sonic 4", there are three Sonic Advance games making a trilogy. I mean I haven't played them all (but hope to do so in the future since Sonic Advance 1 was my childhood) but those count as Sonic games.... and I guess after that you have Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventures... and Sonic Colours and then Sonic Colours was pretty much the last 2D sonic game from what I can remember from watching reviews, though I think it all depends on what quality you think the games are.... so basically if we are counting nearly all Sonic titles, Sonic Mania is Sonic 10.... which is actually a cool number to be on.
