HE’S JUST WALKING AWAY FROM HIM” “We finally found him then… the bravest man in the universe… Sink the anchor! Sink the anchor now and you! Go help this stranger out!” “A wise choice mate.”
Hello friends, my name is Dante and I have a burning question for you, do you think it’s possible to beat Resident Evil 4 without running? I know, it’s crazy isn’t it? For once I won’t be using my famous Nike strat, no boys, the Nikes are being hung up in the closet tonight. Because tonight, we’re gonna take it real slow and you’re going to get a taste of my day to day life being Italian. AYYYYYYY, I’M WALKIN’ ERE! I know what you guys are thinking, what about the boulder parts where you’re forced to run? Did you get by the swinging axes without running? How about the stompy stompersons? LISTEN guys, I’ll have answers to all of these juicy questions soon, so stick around.
I started my journey like any other, and one thing was immediately clear, this should was gonna take forever. I mean Leon takes his sweet time when he’s walking. I quickly found out that he walks a lot faster backwards than forwards, but this was pretty useless since, you know, I couldn’t see where I was frigging going. Leon walks into some random guys house without knocking, asked for the man’s critical knowledge, and then I think I was a little too aggressive with him or something, it’s all a blur to me really.
And then I came across the village. Now, I wanted to impress you guys with this run and so instead of taking the easy way out and destroying anything that moved, I decided that I wanted to take it slow and walk it out. Little Leon was completely terrified and after walking for a bit, I decided I’d take a gander to see what all the hubbub was behind me. Oh boy do I ever regret turning around. Something interesting to note is that if you aren’t looking at the enemies, they won’t throw their weapons at you. They’ll only throw their weapons at you when you look directly at them. And yes, I was playing on the hardest difficulty. After failing this part MULTIPLE times, I decided it was best to just “extinguish the vermin” if you know what I’m saying. And Leon says his famous line “where’d everyone go, bingo?”

You don’t run away from the boulder, you sprint away from the boulder, it’s a totally different thing. Challenge passed.

Love it when you accidentally make it harder on yourself out of lack of knowledge. I got through the first two bosses of DMC 3 using only the handguns, cause I was too chickenshit to get up close and had no clue Dante's sword does that much more damage. In my defense I was around 12. Imagine my surprise when I found out how much ass the Rebellion kicks once I got to the centipede and accidentally jumped on it.

Wilbert Andrade no, I've tried, at least only in the ps2 the skip works just as Dante made it, but shoot the people, they dont spawn until you cross the line to activate the boulder

my guy had 200 IQ skipping a boulder I skipped in 2016 GG
RE4 is actually about a village coming together to bring a cold blooded killer to justice. It all goes down after Leon murders the first ganado after trespassing in his home, and it ends with Leon whisking away his hostage Ashley on a stolen jet ski after slaughtering half a Spanish town. It's essentially genocide and he gets away with it, a prime example of injustice if I've ever heard one.

You could've avoid that Boulder very easily my boii, without fancy grenade tricks and cutscenes... Just call Chris. He started his own boulder punching Company, Boulder Punchers LTD. The fact that they don't throw weapons if they're off-screen is a really nice touch. I appreciate when games do minor things like that, which are mostly unnoticeable, but really help avoid frustrating the player.
That air walk part was like that one scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I love watching runs like these because the game does really weird stuff. Also, props to Richard for taking you out first.

When I first played RE4 on my Wii when I was about 12 I didn't know you could run. I kid you not, I went all the way midway through the castle, before holding down the button on the back of the nunchuck and realising I could run. I genuinely thought not running was part of the horror experience.

The fact that you actually not only found a glitch but then successfully utilized it in game makes you king in my book. Skipping the first boulder was damn impressive, I legit did not know about that. You passed the no run challenge with "walking" colors
I actually laughed in the start when u turn around and the whole level of enemies was behind you good stuff.

I remember the first play through I’ve did of re4. When it came to picking a path after the cabin, I got to the end of one and then went back and did the other one not realizing you only needed to go down one.
