This is an insane run. The use of holotactics knowledge on the first boss is pretty genius. I'd joke about using the Warrior Perk, but it wouldn't change much of anything.

Same here! I've struggled through many challenges in this game but this challenge really made me think about the fights completely differently

After hours of fighting vader myself, i put the game down a few weeks ago. When i saw this in my recommended, i put it in watch later and made the final push to beat the game. Thanks for the motivation to beat him!

Dude. Massive respect for doing this on New Journey instead of New Journey+ I (like you) attempted this myself a few months ago, and having blaster, crossguard, and all the force upgrades was invaluable. Also made grabbing friends for the Ninth Sister fight easier 😂

I used to play halo on the highest difficulty with all the little debuffs the game allows you to put on yourself, Lots and lots of headaches haha. Kinda funny they made a boss fight that's incredibly hard but somehow left a flaw that made it super easy for the average player, so the only one who found it hard was you for this run, just the biggest F U from the makers, but you still beat vader and I applaud the dedication!

Great video! I know I am not very creative with ideas, so the best I can come up with is doing force unleashed 1 without getting upgrades. Edit: To be more specific, I mean by upgrades no force upgrades, combo up grades, and the other upgrade. I forgot what it is called because, I haven't played force unleashed 1, or 2 in a very long time.

I've had to watch Anakin vs Obi wan fight 50 times since to recover. Only way to heal

At some point do you try to do the crossguard downward attack? or even the force parry? It surely useful in some boss fights

So if you're referring to the crossguard impact tremor, I was tempted to do that, but decided it incorporates too much lightsaber for me to allow it. As for the force parry, it won't cause damage I believe so I prefer never to waste any force usage with how hard it is to maintain.

Can you beat Jedi survivor without fully dying? You can heal use check points but if you die your heal =0 the run ends, you don’t have to kill everything…

it may not be the jedi way BUT it is the fun way 😁

@@Shenaniloon I don't know how well you know the game but you'll understand what I mean when you play it Some of the best video ideas for the game that I thought of (besides the basics stuff like no blocking or punching) Can you finish Sifu while being 20 years old the whole game And can you finish Sifu while being 70 years old the whole game The age system is very interesting in this game The older you get more damage you do and have less health so it needs to be a deathless run just with different stats

Wouldn't the Crossguard stance shockwave cause more damage than the double bladed stance's that you used? Genuinely asking since I don't think I've ever used either but I'd imagine the crossguard's would damage more since that's the stance's whole thing.

That's very true, it likely would I think tho I've never employed the move in a boss fight. I very nearly used that move but after looking over it, the fact that it requires driving the lightsaber into the ground makes me consider it too much of a lightsaber move to allow for this challenge. I certainly wish I could have used it tho

When you think about it, since Cere dies after the Vader fight anyway, you need to wonder why the game makes you almost beat him and doesn't just let your first death be canonical.

Very fair point! I suppose since how hard he hits as is plus how iconic of a fight it is to fight Vader in general so it makes sense in a way to prolong it as much as they could for cinematic feel. Plus to go along with Cere doing so much damage to Vader before losing as opposed to simply losing

Also the long-ranged cross guard attack doesn’t use the saber. It does use force but I feel like it would be decent in this challenge especially if you’re already using cross-guard stance.

Several have mentioned that move and I'm inclined to agree at this point. I chose to avoid using it because I felt the force tremor seemed like it incorporated too much lightsaber to count fairly, but I wish I used it now
