Wym? Autobattle only repeats the last action each character took for as long as it's active. It's like the Gambit system in FF12 except far less versatile, so you still have to think what to do for more complex enemies like in FF5 and FF6. TL;DR It only lets you skip the endless button mashing, not the necessary thinking.

But by DEFAULT auto battle is set to ONLY doing Physical hits only at the start of the game and yes most attack magic at the start isn't really worth its MP costs ON bosses.

Water can generate oxygen and hydrogen through electrolysis.

It doesn't generate oxygen or hydrogen rather breaks the bond in the water atom separating them back down to two hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen

You try breathing an atmosphere made entirely of hydrogen and oxygen. Just saying. Breathable air is not just oxygen.

I’ve been watching your videos for YEARS, since I was a kid. In middle and high school I spent most of those years hurt and so I played final fantasy, since I couldn’t walk I would play video games, and your videos really gave me something to watch. I guess what I’m trying to say is thanks, bc when I was going through the toughest and hardest time of my life your content gave me some moments of peace, where I didn’t have to worry about what I was going through. But I would totally try again if you were interested, even just one person watching probably would give me enough confidence to try again lol plus I’m pretty knowledgeable in ffix so I got that going for me

Took casual players longer than it should to defeat though because the game heavily favoured physical attackers(magic was bugged and INT did nothing making magic not scale to the end game, while critical hits were 8 times as likely as they should be on late game equipment making them about 98% chance of criticals vs end game magics' 12%). That and a bunch of spells like TMPR just didn't work resulting in wasted turns. I'm fairly sure the game was scaled down in difficulty as a result of the bugs, if you don't know about them it can make the gamemuch harder.

@@EremitaJ Yeah but the Shiva from Final Fantasy isn't based on Shiva the hindu god, she's just a pun on the english word "Shiver".

I actually just completed something similar, it was a 4 monk party and I just turned auto on and left it on. I ended up needing to grind much higher than normal to succeed, chaos was a jerk. At 99 however all 4 monks were doing 1200 to 2000 per turn so it came down to outlasting him. I think I wiped a total of 4 times start to finish, 3 on chaos, 1 on to a surprise warmech

Something about monks scale super hard on damage output. Leave them w/o a weapon and level them up and watch them SHRED enemies. It's even more nuts if when they get damage buffs. To the point where it rivals or even surpasses the best weapons in the game.

Hiring for an editor, it sucks that I don't know squat about editing or I'd help out. I enjoy watching you suffe- err I mean, really have fun playing these games and doing what feels like years worth of grinding on a few of them, lol.

i just played ff1 for the first time! For the first game, its darn good. alot of issue,s but darn good!

Here is my head cannon. The light warriors go back to the start of the game each time but with no memories because they undid the events, but are a little older each time. As soon as they die of old age, Chaos is alive.

‘There’s a hint on the next video somewhere in this video’ - Strangers of Paradise is referenced during the Chaos Chaos Chaos Chaos sentence, so that’s my guess

That's a great idea, I was thinking if you can beat Final Fantasy Tactics with auto battle too

Maybe the damage issue is related to number of hits landed and how many crit

*gives them the rat tail* FOOOOOOOOL!

In FF4 3D you can set an ability of your choice to the autobattle function, that could be a fun version of this challenge

I feel like the Marsh Cave is gonna be really tough!

Auto-Battle/Spamming attack is how I beat every FF as a kid because I was too dumb/lazy to learn how to use magic. That's not a metaphor, as a kid I loved RPGs but didn't have the patience for MP management and remembering special abilities and stuff. It was more fun to just make a really strong character and spam attack.

4 Monks would trivialize the crap out of this challenge.... Would be interesting to see 4 white mages do this though....

Recently played through this and finished it. Had about 7 hours of play time, no guide just played off memory. It made me very sad lol I remember back when I was a kid. Me and my late step father spent sooooo many hours on this game and so much time lost because the game just let's you run free and if you don't speak to the right people you don't get any direction

You should do a ff2 no shopping challenge. You can only use what you can find. Using the inn is up to you.

It would BE impossible anyways Omega/Shinryu even at lv 99 can easily kill you and WITHOUT TEMPER BOTH on the GBA/PSP version of the game would barely even lose 100 HP to begin with and have well over 30,000 EACH.

My guess is that the hint was in that part about someone taking over hell and someone taking over Heaven or something like that, but I don’t know what game that was a reference to, it didn’t sound like any final fantasy I remember.

Haven't finished the video yet, but this is another certified Primaliquid banger. Also, mY I request that you might do a Final Fantasy 13 or 13-2 challenge someday? Their my personal favorite in the series, and you don't see many challenges runs of it

monks are beasts in the nes game when you get them to black belts, no weapon, no problems

I don't recommend it by default Auto Battle in ALL 6 Pixel remasters defaults to PHYSICAL hits only and nothing else FF 6's AUTO battle is some what easier Put Mog Gau Gogo Umaro in Kefka's tower as the ONLY party members and during the 4 back to back final boss fights use Dance and have BOTH Gau and Gogo use Rage so the all 3 are uncontrollable with Umaro as the 4th since he can't be controlled in the first place.

Oddly enough, a Ninja named 'X' would work pretty well here.

I mean, you could have included a red mage for out-of-battle magic. What's the point of a thief/ninja if you can't use black magic or flee? Yes he can use almost every weapon in the game, but all the good ones can also be used by the warrior/knight.

20:13 FFI in general doesn't have the best storytelling, but it can be forgiven since it's at least charming and was one of the earliest console RPGs. XV, XVI, Remake, and Rebirth, on the other hand, have no excuse for having such awful writing.

I'd argue that everything that Rebirth adds or changes from the original story is for the worse, and the multidimensional time ghost future Sephiroth plotline is just plain stupid and badly written. It's just a terrible """remake""" of FFVII.
