So, I've just got a few possible mistakes on my part I'd like to address. 1) The grapple system I mentioned could be totally wrong. I just remembered hearing the game functioned that way from some video a long while ago. But, after going through the footage and watching other Origins videos, that may not be the case. I don't really know, but I am still pretty confident the system is different. 2) I didn't mention getting to Alfred in the destroyed Batcave because it was really easy and the segment would have been almost pointless/not have flowed very well. Unfortunately, that was also part of the footage I lost, so I can't technically prove it, but it was possible to get to Alfred without gliding, it just took a little jumping on some rocks near the Batmobile. 3) I'm actually fairly certain it is possible to complete Arkham Origins without gliding. I watched a 100% speedrun the other day and it looked to me like gliding was never necessary. That said, I still won't be doing that video, mostly because I'm just too proud of this video to make this a 2-parter where the second part is mostly uneventful (hence why I'm not making a separate video for CCH). 4) There is no 4, but anyone seeing this clearly cares about my content, so I want you to decide which challenge I do next. Reply to this comment and let me know if I should do another no-glide run of a currently secret game or another Arkham City challenge with a currently secret parameter. I wouldn't say I've found glitches, just wrong ways to complete objectives. Still, I'm really glad you've been enjoying them, and I'm definitely gonna have more challenges soon.

You should do a run where if u take damage in the game u have to restart. Its hard but i bet youd get way more views if u pulled it off

Well if only there was a mod that makes batman do no damage until you reach combo 5 / 8 Or if you could damage enemies only when doing crit. Strikes And in stealth/predator sections You could do only beatdowns... (Beatdown strikes will give you the yellow number to do tkdowns, And more importantly...any damage)

I remember doing this challenge last summer. I got all the way to the Firefly fight but for whatever reason my game glitched out and Batman turned into Joker with the Red Hood helmet after I died during that fight and no matter how many times I restarted the game refused to return me as Batman. I was on PC and had actually just turned my glide speed to 0 using console commands, so maybe that had something to do with it but I was seriously pissed because I had legit flashbacks to the lift area you struggled with in this video.

I’m not sure if you already know this about the drop trick in the Pipeway of Pain segment at 15:02, but the reason that it failed the first time is because you didn’t hold forward when doing it. From the tests I did, holding forward when dropping makes you grab the ledge every time, while not holding forward causes you to miss the ledge every time.

Ummm that's last roadblock I did that by accident when I missed, oh man I remember that. I was so mad cause batman just stopped gliding then happy that it worked lol. That gcpd tunnel sucked. I had forgot about this until you posted! Thank you!

Another reason I think arkham origins stealth is harder is because enemy detection is way higher. I got seen in a section where it automatically hid you from enemy sight, and standing up drew the attention of like 30 armed guys when i was already behind something. Another example is while I was flying, two snipers that were looking down saw me in the air. Sure they were facing the same direction, but they were looking through a sniper scope, downwards.

Regarding the glue grenade vs electrified water I imagine the issue would be the grenade part not the glue. The electricity could short them out so they don’t deploy the stuff.

You don’t get the Glue Grenade until much later into the game.

I misread this and saw “glitching”

Ok so I was just playing origins for Xbox and at the same place as the collapsed deck at 6:33 I had done a running jump to the single pole sticking out of the water then jumping of of that to the platform with no gliding.

With the Spider-Man tech in the GCPD section, if you kept the enemies alive on the edge would you bet able to drop on them or does it go into a glide motion?

That’s actually a really good question. I think with how close you get with that strategy, it would turn into a drop attack. If I remember next time I play Origins, I’ll have to give that a try.

So glad I'm not the only one who thinks Arkham Origins is an over hated game.

I think the hardest part is anarchy

I know I’m very late but I’m going to use these strategies right now to beat this game without gliding, wish me luck anyone who sees this. I’m also going to take this one step further and only use fast travel when the story needs it, other than that no fast travel at all.

Man... I know you arent a fan of the Fromsoft games but I cant help but think that you'd have a ton of fun doing a Batman themed fist or fist weapon only challenge for one of them. Especially if you did Elden Ring because it is more accessible than some of the others even if it has some straight up BS moments

Didn’t have it yet. Only way to get it at that point would be New Game Plus. Considering I hadn’t played the game in over 5 years, I wasn’t prepared for that.

Correct, but that was for experimentation, which I don't count. Only the final clip of me getting through without gliding counts towards the challenge.

The game being broken made it extra difficult, but it being extra broken made it possible.

The Gotham City in Arkham origins is actually Arkham City in Arkham City just that you only play one part because that part is actually Arkham City

If you played the game normally, this wouldn’t be an issue. Which means you can’t say the level design is poor when you’re not even playing the intended way. That’s like using s sledgehammer to play golf then saying the sledgehammer is poorly designed because you can’t play golf with it. @@ClownPuncher139 haha Ah man, I managed to do it on Arkham knight Then I used the red hood mesh on batman So I can finish the game using red hood with batman gadgets without gliding Now I finally discovered how to use Deathstroke mashe on Arkham origins, but gliding without cape is ridiculous .... Don't got me wrong, I buyed all batman's on Xbox one at launch date, but with modifications on pc looks like another game

That was a practice attempt that I rectified by immediately grappling back to the initial location. I did not glide on the actual attempt as the footage shows.

i am dying to let you know that you can flip off of roofs in all of these games except for asylum directly out of a sprint by pressing jump twice
