I started out with a solar watch, and as I got into watches, I've been trying to convince myself that automatic watches are what I should like, because that's what most of the watch community likes. I did my tour of decent swiss divers, but recently just admitted that I don't like the hassle of automatics. I sold most of my automatics, re-bought a citizen titanium diver and a seiko solar diver, and am at complete peace (except occasionally feeling like I should sell the rest of my automatics). I think I've reached my Nirvana, right back at square one where I started.

That said, I think I'm still a watch guy at heart. I get excited if someone shows up wearing a cool watch. It's just that I know what I like and I stick to it, but can appreciate other watches in the market
