Can We Trust PARADOX Genetics? |
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
This week we've got some really interesting new information regarding paradox genetics, and why we may not be able to trust them! Genetic testing has really given us some great insight as to the science behind these unique snakes, and how we can use that information moving forward!

I would not be afraid of that snake, I am very afraid of snakes, so I watch these to understand and not be so fearful…That snake is beautiful…

Good for you, great idea. 👍👍 self therapy.
Great info. I just like the paradox for the uniqueness of them. Stay Safe!
This revelation throws a wrench in the whole “it either has the gene, or it dosent” argument. I never would have guessed that any particular gene could be present in a specific area.
That makes sense. I produced a male paradox pied that had one big pale yellow spot in addition to normal pied patches elsewhere. His mother was a pastel het pied. The spot wasn't anywhere near his cloaca and he didn't produce any pastels, so as far as breeding goes, he's just a pied.

Makes sense!
Gotta love a paradox. My BEL has an insane amount of head through to tail paradox going on.
Very cool! Paradoxing has always been interesting to me. It seems bananas/coral glows are also really prone to Paradoxing as well. Great vid!
Thank you for all the info. Great video.
Great info Justin!!
Thanks for the video!
Great and informative video and stunning snakes 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Good video and very interesting for sure , crazy how genes work
I would love a paradox. There unique and visually stunning. It was great seeing these as they age. Thanks for sharing as always Kinova.

Please make a video reviewing the products you use to overcome all kinds of problems in maintaining ball pythons, such as dealing with fleas and others 😁
You s make such amazing coloured ball python s yous have the best job in the world I wish we had something like that in Ireland . I'm starting to help snakes iv adopted 2 so far.
It would be interesting to know what seems to cause certain lines of animal/morph to paradox more often.
Very good explanation 👍 I have ( paradox ivory banana pastel pos hit pide ) and I gonna mix it whit confusion 🙂 what u think ??
Albino paradox I love even tho it can’t be produced purposely
Beautiful
I love paradox ball pythons I love the mystery I have a gravel het pied female that has a cute little paradox spot on her side and I absolutely love it.
Beautiful animals man really like that stranger clown possible het monsoon
Hi i love your channel and snake s . I got my first 2 ball python 6 days ago could you tell me what kind of ball python they are please.
So the not clown animal, was it tested for cyptic/crypton???
Paradox: such contradictory!!! I would be breeding them, expecting the worst and hoping for the best!!
I always wanted to get into paradox. But there isn't much info on them but the breakaway pattern is one of a kind.

There's unfortunately not much to know since they're unpredictable and nonreproducible - but such a cool look!

@KINOVAReptiles I hope genetic testing changes the game and becomes more affordable to all breeders. It's always fun trying to figure out what you have, but 💯 % proof is nice as well. Plus, we could really see how to stack genes in a new way. What do you think?

If you want to breed paradox, it is a recessive gene in Kenyan Sand Boas.
I produced a DG/yb chimera last year. His name is TwoFace 😅

Love it!
I wonder if all paradoxes dont prove? Or if its random, you just got unlucky on both? Thanks for sharing!
@KINOVAReptiles

They do prove for some of the genes! Haha. Just not always the ones we wanted. Nature doesn't know what we deem the most appealing or desirable ;) The ivory paradox we started with technically could have been either het clown OR visual clown based on the pairing that it came from, but it proved out to be visual clown!
So once and for all, can paradox reproduce? I mean like a chimera?
@KINOVAReptiles

They can produce… but what traits is the question…
Anyone else see the Tag Heuer CARRERA chronograph? Just me?! 😂
have you tested for crypton/cryptic for the "not clown boy" just for science!! I think you have to test for crypton/cryptic if not!
So how does that ghi paradox have visual clown appearance without even being het?? That's crazy
@KINOVAReptiles

Some part of his DNA has the clown mutation - just not the part that ties into his reproduction. Wild!
Would chimeras have the same possibility of not proving out?
@houndgirl7365

No because Chimeras are a result of the siblings DNA combining so half the snake could have physical traits from sibling A while the other portion is expressing from sibling B. There was actually a guy that turned out to be a chimera he found out because his kid was his brother's kid...apparently the guy absorbed his twin in the womb (he didn't even know he had a twin). Due to that being the nature of chimeras its just a random occurrence that can't be bred, but maybe just maybe one could artificially create (like how they do axolotyls) though there are ethics to consider about such procedures for aesthetics
