This game had always held a special place in my heart, watching POPULARMMOS playing it, them featuring amazing youtubers in ep 6 of s1, and even the first episode from the first season will ALWAYS mean so much to me. Even if the story is cringe, the game was beautiful, nostalgic, and truly a great animated masterpiece and I'll never forget it

To answer your question @shadowrock, to many people the fact that it was Minecraft was cringe already, add that to some of the cheesy comedy and how socially awkward Jesse was at times a lot of people thought it was cringe. That being said the game itself isn't too cringe in my opinion.

@@AllyInOrbitI think it would’ve been really hard not to make it awkward, especially with the soundtrack. Keep in mind they couldn’t time music well or anything because of the player’s choices not being timed exactly right

I would love it if they make a season 3 for MCSM. It will always hold a special place in my heart. I will support season 3 as long as they bring back the original characters and have a good story. Though I’m sad that Ivor can’t go on any more adventures anymore. RIP Paul Reubens.

They could still find a decent replacement considering that’s what happened with Olivia and anyway I think all the true fans chose to hit the road so mainly what matters is the 2 main characters

Ivor won’t be in season 3 because the voice actor who played as Ivor (Paul Reubens) died this year.

Ivor was always one of my favorites and Paul did a phenomenal job. While the game wouldn't be the same without him they did manage to give Ivor a pretty good happy ending at the end of Season 2 if I'm not mistaken.

(Sorry for the long essay, I just want to share some feedback with this documentary..) Hello there, I have seen that you have made a video about Minecraft Story Mode.. Me myself personally, found the game really enjoyable, but now loses the replayability, since it’s the same thing over and over again, the game had some excitement, because it would be more of a surprise about what happens next, so if we do get a season 3, TTG would have many choices, but they need to have the same thing of what they did with season 2, and ask the player what they did in season 1 and 2, and therefore, the player can progress, or create their own story.. However, unfortunately, the voice actor of Ivor, recently passed away, (Paul Reubens), so MCSM, will never be the same again.. and the employees at TTG, were forced to quit, when they went bankrupt, so we dont know who left and who didnt.. We just have to hope for the best of Season 3 in 2024… 😭

Even if we don't get a season 3, I'd love for them to recontinue the other two seasons and make them available again on more platforms and fix bugs. Maybe even possibly add a DLC to them.

I find this game super nostalgic, in my case, if this game did make a comeback, i would definetely purchase it, overall, this game is super nostalgic, and it has a special place in lots of peoples heart, so if they do make a season three, or a seperate game, lots of people would come back and buy it which would make mojang and telltale tons of money.

the first time that i got intoduced to minecraft is from minecraft story mode i still remember the fun days

I remember playing this for the first few times, and it was one of the best things I had ever played back then. To this day, it holds a lot of nostalgia. A part of me still misses it.

If they ever do end up making s3, then I hope that Romeo gets a redemption arc. He was definitely supposed to, he had all that buildup at the end of s2.

Either a redemption arc or some sort of consequence for removing a "god", this could have opened so many doors for the story. I wonder what kind of story Telltale would make if they're given the opportunity.

What do you think of it so far?

Many people say that the story ended because of Romeo’s defeat. But a continuation could go like this. A decent amount of time passed and Jesse and Petra are on an adventure in the nether . However they awaken the piglin horde they went immediately to the overworld to tell people of the mysterious creatures in the nether however a day later large amounts of nether portals are opened and the horde invades the overworld . The one thing that no one would expect is for Jesse and the crew to lose and his actual victory over the horde in season 4. Kind of like avengers infinity war and avengers endgame went. Who here thinks this could actually work?

Sadly not at the moment. Telltale said on twitter in july that they couldn't make a season 3 due to them not getting the rights again. In future tho it is possible if they become big enough again and microsoft sees it as a worthy decision. However due to them managing their own spin offs i am wary

I think if there's enough demand it's certainly possible, really at the end of the day it needs to make financial sense to Microsoft, for this to happen I think there's a couple of things that need to happen: 1. Telltale needs to prove themselves to be Financially stable again. 2. The fanbase needs to start talking about it again and asking for it. 3. It needs to be a really darn good story to tell.

I hope that Minecraft Story Mode Season 3 will be released, I think that if it were released there would be a new protagonist in the hero Jesse's camp and that this protagonist (Replaces Jesse, as if he were the new Jesse in the third season) Going on adventures with the other "New Heroes" he met at the hero jesse's camp, and as if he were the new generation of heroes and it would probably take place a few years after the second season with jesse being around 40 years old, already retired from his role as hero . If the third season were released, I would guess that it would be in 2026 or 2027 and the number of episodes: 6 episodes. That's it bye!

It would be awesome to see Jesse go into a mentor role and teach some hotshot about adventuring, def wouldn't complain with a storyline like that.

I think there's a good chance Telltale is working on a story for a potential Season 3. Doesn't mean much, but it could still happen.

The story was always such a release for me. I genuanly hope it eventually comes back. MCSM is my comfort game so i would be so excited for a 3rd game. I also would hope they make it with the same characters. I genuanly love this game

When choices matter it makes the story so much more impactful, this is one of the many reasons I love games like Starfield and of course many of the titles that Telltale has put out.

I always thought if Minecraft story mode season 3 ever did come out, it could be like you playing with your friends that it could be free roaming away to where you can customize a character and you can roam around and do everyone’s mission sort of like a GTA five online sort of thing, but is still related to the Minecraft story mode story

There's also a couple of petitions on other sites with even larger amounts of people asking for a season 3. I'm a little doubtful of a season 3 though. I have a feeling the Minecraft Movie will likely be a problem for the game.

@@KingRegNog I haven't heard that much about the movie but if it has Minecraft story mode in the movie like the wither storm I would think mojang would revive the game. its just a theory a company theory

So in 1 to 100 what are the chances that mcsm season 3 will come out this game is literally my younger childhood and I still play it well still try to play whenever I try playing season 2 the episodes are locked even though they come out 6 years ago ;-; do y’all know what I’m talking about and any tips on how to fix it?

Honestly I'd give it maybe a 10% chance it ever releases at this point. Telltale seems more interested in other projects right now and Microsoft/Mojang seem interested in keeping Minecraft as an in-house IP at the moment. I haven't tried to play MCSM in a while so I'm not 100% sure how to fix the issue you're having unfortunately. I'd see if someone on Reddit has an answer for you.

It's possible but I wouldn't hold my breath on it being a MC:SM S3, I think it's more than likely a card battler similar to Harthstone or even a possible Dungeons 2. I would gladly be wrong though.

At this time we have no confirmation that MCSM S3 will happen. If it does ever come out I don’t see much reason for it to not release on PS4 unless it is discontinued by then.

@KingRegNog If MCSM Season 3 releases a official trailer, official by Telltale Games. That means there will be MCSM Season 3 any time soon. I think there is a good chance they will release MCSM Season 3 on PS4 or PS5 and other consoles.

They still haven’t put out any official trailers as far as I know. But if they have then they’ll very likely have a press release out soon detailing what consoles and devices will support the game.

I think aspects from both could make their way into a season 3 and it be fine. They need to go back to season 1 story telling for sure though

Do they actually own all the rights? I knew they owned all the rights to the Minecraft original mobs, names, etc. But do they own the characters, music, and locations too?

​@KingRegNog yes, even the original soundtrack makers (Antimo and Welles) for season one and two have stated that they can not put the soundtracks on Spotify as they do not actually "own" the songs that they made.

I just picked up Minecraft story mode season 1 again for my ps5 to relive my child hood once more, I still have yet to beat 6,7, and 8 I’m hoping we get a season 3 even tho the game is cringe to some people I like it a lot

This is a great question and I'm not 100% sure. Sometimes the answer isn't making the enemy more powerful but rather making the lesson learned much harder. I think having the story follow the very theme of death would be interesting. It could possibly be too much for the primary target audience to handle though.

It’s sucked ever since episode 4 ended, the first 4 are the only good ones at all
