Thanks so much for your time spent, may Jesus continue to help you and yours. "My sheep know MY voice and a stranger they wont follow ". Jesus

Thank you! Really loving these videos. My hives are right in line with your hives' timeline. So it's really cool to see what I can expect when I inspect. Here in So. Cal. it is drier and milder temps, my bees have been very busy doing their thing. Appreciate you guys! Looking forward to the next one. Take care ~ Jen

Thank you for showing we can feed appropriately for the season and for the health of the bees. It amazes me how many will be condescending to us or make comments like they never feed their bees like it's a badge of honor. Your channel has provided a wealth of information for us as we walk through this first season of bee keeping.

Hi from central Otago southern New Zealand 👋 🥝 😄 Yeah we get that in NZ too, kinda weird because all the successful commercial guys pack all the food into thier bees that they can to help them over winter. Yould think everyone would want to give Thier bees the best advantage,👍👋

😋Yummy, do you all make jam and jellies from the Blackberries? Thanks for sharing Kamon. 😲Look at that awesome Queen Rite dial on the front of that hive😁those are such a great tool. "Loosing bees is part of Keeping bees" Thank you for sharing the numbers on beekeeping Kamon, it makes for better new beekeepers. 👍Forewarned is Forearmed, beekeepers have to work in and with nature but we can make adjustments. I have 5 gallon buckets that I made into over time feeders, I'll start some of my trickle open feeding soon after my Blackberries. I'm right in the middle of the flow atm here in SW WA.

Hello Kamon. Even though I am an ex honey farmer in the UK 74 years old and still keeping bees after 60 + years, I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos, Thank you. I have a suggestion that you may find helpful. I notice with your smoker, that the hive hook is on the frount of the smoker, which means that you are liable to burn your hand when handling the frames. I have always put a hook on the top quater of my smoker bellows, which means that you can place it on the hive and the smoke is going away from you and is always at hand for fiesty bees. You won't believe how much more convenient it is to pick the smoker up and carry it. I prefer the old fasioned small brass single coat hooks with two srew holes in them. These are thin enough to fit between the frame lugs when the frames are closed. I would lay odds that once you have tried this, you will never want a smoker without one. Kind regards, Tony Marsh

Here in Hungary, they buy honey in barrels from us for roughly $2/kg (2pounds~1kg). Our famous acacia honey costs $3.50 per kilo. Thanks to the immeasurable amount of artificial Chinese honey imported by the European Union.

Exactly. And they mix it and you can find jars in stores with small letter writing on labels. Country of origin EU + China.. which should be forbidden. Acacia = black locust in US. It's really a shame that price for it. Down south we started to have big problems to make a good crop of it. Used to be our best flow

I've been eating blackberries for about a week while out surveying, it does offset working in the heat a little! Cutting the patties into strips is a good idea, getting ready to put some on and hopefully do a few double screen board splits coming up and maybe try Gus' flyback split as well.

How would you fix two deep boxes where they made a ton of fat comb and comb all throughout. Very hard to work it. Wasn’t able to make the time this spring to really work with my one colony so it’s been a bit neglected. But they are still alive and strong when I finally got to get in there

I'm running the 2 gallon motherlode feeders with no ladder, I have 2 shims in them. Sometimes I open a smaller colony and there will be a layer of dead bees drowned in there. This has happened to me three times this year and both colonies were on the smaller side but not unhealthy in my opinion. I was wondering if thats just natural die off like you mentioned, or do you think something could be wrong? One colony it happened to has had it happen twice now and it was weird because I fed them two times with no problem before it happened again.
