Those are Stewart & Stevenson trucks, the one with a fifth wheel is m1088a1 and it is powered by one of the worst caterpillar engines ever made which is known as a 3126. Almost all military vehicles are equipped with 12/24 volt electrical systems for commonality and the ability to jump start any other vehicle. They use the nato standard 12/24 slave cable system. The 3126 is the huei update to the 3116 so those have a similar fuel injection system as a 7.3 powerjoke which requires engine oil pressure through a high pressure oil pump to act against a intensifier piston in the injector to create high pressure fuel.

🇺🇸 Hey, I didn’t know that Cat ever made a bad engine! LOL. Just trying some humor. I love Cat engines and the only bad one I’ve seen is when they mutilated the engine and blew it up. That’s a bad one. 😳

The 3126 was junk indeed especially the earlier models where your high pressure hose was prone to disintegrating and making a mess through the engine compartment. That being said, the MUI 3116 was actually a pretty good motor overall, you just have to know how to sync the injectors. The marine models (3116-TA) weren't known as the best (some overhead issues and the occasional dropped valve or spun crank bearings) but most of the other model 3116s were really good. In fact, these old military trucks used to be 3116 before the 3126 came into play.

The 1st one you started is an LMTV and they are very top heavy so they will roll over easy!! Fun to drive but easy on the coners!! Most military vehicles have the ability to adjust the tire pressure.

Are y'all ever looking for drivers out of state. Someone that is willing to do stops or pickups in the NYC area ? I know alot of drivers in the southern area don't like going there or running the New England area. Not trying to get a job with y'all because of the KZread stuff, just hate working for these big companies that treat you like theres 20 people behind you waiting to take your place. I have 20+ years driving and no accidents, dui's or even tickets on my license. Only time I ever got a ticket in a big truck was one time @15 years ago I was parked along with about 10 other trucks parked on the side of I78 in north Jersey sleeping. Alot of guys always parked there to sleep because it's like the first place you can fit a truck outside the city area and they popped all the trucks there that night. Anyways if you are looking reply back and I'll get ahold of y'all off here.

Porter greetings. 🤩They’re not like the older 50s-80s military trucks…REO, Studebaker, Kaiser and GMCs. But they do look pretty tough. I don’t know anything about them. I’ve read some of the comments..Top heavy, Bad Cat engines, etc. You got them loaded and that’s what counts. Shocking that you didn’t have enough binders, but it does happen…and you had 10 minutes to get them on. You must’ve chained them down outside of the gate. 🧐 How did you scratch your truck? You will have to show it. Have a safe trip! 🤩✌️
