Can Timbrens Stop The Squat While Towing?

We recently upgraded to a 5th wheel toy hauler and after our first trip towing it, we realized the bed was sagging more than we'd like so Tony started researching options. We first thought air bags were the only option but found out about Timbrens from an online search and they seemed like the perfect budget-friendly fix.
In this video we unbox the Timbren SES FR250SD kit, measure the ride height with the factory bump stops, install the Timbrens, and re-measure the ride height with Timbrens.

I use Timbrens on my 2500 with my 40' toy hauler. Been using them for many years.

After seeing the difference, I’m a believer and will run them on this and future pickups!

Hello. I added those to my GMC 3500. Went from a 3" squat to about 1". I think they are pretty darn good and way less $$ than an air bag system.

Nice! They work really well and fit the price you can’t go wrong adding these if you tow. Thanks for watching

@@texastotable I came across it on a forum for the Super Duty Tremor’s on Facebook. I did research and everyone said they will never go back to air bags, problems with them blowing out.

I dont see where the issue is with Air bags other then the fact installed incorrectly, I have air bags on my Ford and tow a grain trailer 16000lbs GVW when loaded and never have to adjust since i do have a compressor and leveling valve installed. If there is no sag on the Timbrens there is no flex either I can see more issues down the road with those. RVs are poorly built at best and the increase in sudden sharp jarring will eventually lead to frame issues among others in the RV.

There’s nothing wrong with airbags, I just like this budget friendly option for towing the toy hauler. They still allow the suspension to load so it’s not like they’re keeping the truck at unloaded ride height, it’s just significantly better than with the stock bump stops. Thanks for watching!

I had the airbag on two of my rams but when I traded it in for a 1 ton srw High Country Chevy I said that I didn't want the bag it was too much of a problem for me so now since I traded in the High Country I got a 1 ton dually so I really don't need them for what I tow which is about 15K my dually hook up to that hardly sag but I am planning on getting a bigger 5th wheel later so I might want them then.

The duallies can handle so much more weight but the stability you get from the Timbrens with the suspension loaded is worth it alone. Super easy install and maintenance free. If we hadn’t sold our F350 dually I’d be putting a set on that pickup as well. Thanks for watching!

I felt they made my Chevy ride harsh with them vs now on airbags

That makes sense considering bags will have a bit more give when loading & unloading from braking/accelerating considering Timbrens are solid poly. These are just such a great budget option to accomplish what airbags do for a fraction of the price. Thanks for watching/commenting!

Question: Have you leveled the truck when it's not loaded? If so why not remove the front leveling kit so the truck can tow properly? Second: With timbren installed aren't you just perpetually riding around on the bump stops? Seems like a little harsher ride than the airbag solution. As a budget solution it's interesting.

We like the ground clearance the leveling kit and 37’s provides us. It will be a little more rough than airbags but for what we need, it works well. Thanks for watching!

Sid you say F250!!??. Are you really pulling that with a 250? I know it can pull it but you are definitely over payload. I have a 2019 6.7 crew cab xlt. Payload is 2875. Your pin weight empty is 2600. Get a bigger truck

I tow with an F250 as well and way more than just a camper. I ordered my 22 F250 lariat crew cab 6.7 4wd with the heavy tow package and it has a 3900 lbs payload capacity. Just gotta know how to spec a truck out💁🏻‍♂️
