From an engineering and logistic perspective this was truly ingenious. Everything went so smoothly it is hard to truly appreciate the planning, design, and experience it took to make this happen. Very impressive as always guys but this one for me was over the top.

My hat off to everyone of the sponsors that helped with the project . It was a sit on the edge of your seat video. Dave your right at top my list. You are the man. Great video can't wait for the next one.

I love when Jax joins a video! It's always fun with him, especially when Jim and Bud are there, too. That tank looked crazy, but it worked. Great problem solving skills guys! Great drone footage, too.

Agreed. Forget these fools chiming in on whatever 'ccn' whatever..as they likely comment to a video they enjoy on a device made in a factory making next to what the fukever your talking about. Amerika! I'm in on, but ignorance will drown us all if you lie to your selves on what commerce and worldly reliances provide. Borders and politics are Bs.we watch This channel because of the sponsors and the countries who make the devices that get touted on..I love my country! I'm red white and blue through and through! I love our neighbors too though, who, through commerce can and have made the great machines we use daily..In which , is how Dave makes his money and the content we see day to day.

Most of Brent's water problems are with a poorly designed system at the bottom. The hump in the pipe between the water source and pump is creating an easy way for the pump to lose prime, which is the #1 problem. The pump is also taxed fairly heavily pushing the water up 600+ft. Id add a second line to the bottom with the function of being able to pour water down and re-prime the pump from the surface, as well as adding an intermediate reservoir and second pump half way up so that the lower pump isn't having to lift as far. As I recall, Brent has found ways into some of the upper levels without using the shaft Also flattening the run of line between the pump and the sump at the bottom so there isn't that downhill slope away from the pump on the feed line.

Yeah, I know it might not be in the budget but two more tanks: one right at the top of the shaft to cover the prime problem, and a dedicated fire irrigation system so you always have full tank available for fire suppression would be ideal. How much water can the aquifer provide? You would have to be able to assemble a drill system on the bottom level to drill deep enough to supply the town. That’s a huge hassle. Also, thinking about off grid solutions for the other utilities. That’s a major headache.

I remember when the town was for sale and I looked at it and daydreamed about owning it. The first time I watched video of the town was @Wonderhussy Adventures and the American Hotel was beautiful. It broke my heart when I heard it burned down so I can only imagine how Bret felt.

Two things: First, I got a kick out of the scene where the two Yahoo's were riding into town on top of that tank hooping and hollering like conquering hero's. Halarious! Secondly, I can only imagine how awesome it must be for Dave's young son to go with dad and his friends and pull off a crazy adventure like this one. It must have been big fun...

Seeing the amazement on Brent's face when you all arrive to help is something that I will never forget. I found your channel through Ghost Town Living. It's hard to put into words, but I'm glad there are still good people in the world willing to help others without putting their hand out for something in return.

Just think about what the miners had to do to get their materials to their mine sites 100 years ago, water tanks, lumber, CONCRETE, cables!! My hats off to the miners who built this country! With out those miners and without mining today there is no tomorrow. This includes oil drilling. God Speed and Great job to Dave. this is good for alan he and brent have alot in common somewhat on how they live on top of big mountain steep winding road. building there dream. and they both lost something that meant alot 2 them in a fire. rebuilding with three chins up and not giving up is the best medicine for them and meeting each other. can't wait to see part 2.

The logistics to make this happen, and to film with this much dedication. It takes a great team. Impressive

This is one of the stories that I don't mind watching one more time. The whole video series relating to this subject (both from you Heavy D as well as Brent) makes me happy in my heart and mind. The fact that so much good is being accomplished here is very fun to watch. I was shocked to hear that there was another 1,000-year flood the day after getting the tank planted in the ground. Brent was saying near the beginning of the video that there was some rain and a minor storm at the mine, but just imagine if the flood-storm happened on those days of the tank move. I'm stunned by the fact that there has been so many of those rainstorms. They seem to really mess up the road to Cerro Gordo. I wish there was some method of reducing the impact on the surface of the road.

You guys are CRAZY and AMAZING... what an accopmplishment this is!!! I never thought that me 59 yo lady would watch such videos and even get emotional from it... love from Switzerland!!

There's zero chance Brent could have got this done without you guys. Thank you for helping ensure Cerro Gordo lives on for years to come.

A small go-anywhere firetruck would be a wise edition to Cerro Gordo. Just my 2 Shekels as a former Wildfirefighter, it's great to have water. It's also good to be able to get it where you need it.

Love the Cerro Gordo content! Seeing content on Brent's channel will be fun...and .It is SO NICE to see Jax on the crew again! Dude is a legend, the opener content was sweet! The correography was pretty impressive here..Great sound, great video angles...Felt like I was watching a movie.

I really love how you guys all manage to show how hard, technical, slow and precise this heavy and oversized haulage is in real life. Other shows and KZreadrs do all the 'drama' and emotion, but dumb it down or go excessive on the technical and miss the reality of it. You all manage to just bring us along like one of the crew. Absolutely love these HUGE job videos!!
