Can This Telescope See The Big Bang?

It will help us see further than ever before, out into space and also back in time. We will be able to see signatures of life on exoplanets, and maybe even life itself in our own solar system.

Two stars of different size orbiting the center of mass. The spectrum can be seen to split depending on the position and velocity of the stars. The shift of Star A is greater than that of Star B because the tangential velocity is higher. The line width of Star B is greater than that of Star A because the Star B is larger and more luminous. 1 December 2013. By Primefac. This is licenced by creativecommons.org/licenses/...

I am eagerly looking forward to seeing what the JWST sees. I am perplexed though, at the question of what came before the Big Bang. Where did the big bang come from? If the big bang actually resulted in the expansion of our universe, where did the singularity come from? There must have been something outside of our universe, or beyond it. But then, where did that come from? Our universe is not infinite. It has form, substance, dimensions, and other measurable attributes. In a physical universe, these attributes cannot be infinite. Even if space-time breaks down or dissolves somewhere beyond the observable universe and the universe ceases to exist as we understand it, what lies in the void of nothingness... and how would you know? I think the JWST may extend our view of the observable universe, but it will not be able to see the unobservable.... like the big bang itself.

I have been waiting years for this month! JWST has been an obsession for me for the better part of a decade! I was recently diagnosed with some nasty business, and I wasn’t really sure I was going to make it long enough to see him fly, but barring a disaster, it looks like I may! I’m so happy! Praying that the launch and the unfolding maneuvers go off without a hitch! My whole life I have been disappointed that I was born after the Apollo program. I thought I would be able to make up for it by being around to watch Artemis, but it looks like that may just be a dream as well, but JWST is more important than Apollo, Artemis, all other past or current missions combined. JWST will change Astronomy and our entire understanding of the Universe FOREVER! It’s so amazing to get the privilege of being alive right now. The excitement is palpable!

In my opinion, it is not a matter of IF we are alone. It is just a matter of when we find it. The numbers involved are just too big. Kepler is finding that most stars have planets and a lot of those planets are in the habitable zone of their star. It's just a matter of time.

I'm pretty sure the universe is full of live, if life means micro organisms, we may find them even on other planets in our solar system but complex life is a whole different story. It even only exists on earth for some hundred million years and will most likely be gone again in some hundred million years. The question is not is there life like us somwhere out there but how rare is it and how long does it last and those numbers together can make the chances of finding it unbelievably tiny.

WTF does he have to be proud of? A project that went from $500,000,000.00 to $5,000,000,000.00 that can't get out of the lab? Or is it pride in the creation of a permanent lifetime forever job at the expense of his fellow neighbors? And after, if ever this POS works, what do we get from it? More pretty pictures... What will these pictures give us that the pictures we already have, haven't? Shiner pictures. No your friend is a loser that has yet to learn when a man does a good job, below cost, ahead of schedule on a project that has a benefit to people other than starving them so they can look a pretty pictures as they die... He won't need "his" pride. The people will be proud enough for him. Your "friend" has nothing to be proud of.

There used to be a pub there called 'The Whitworth' which I used to go in when I was underage and at college. Haha. 😅 Very surreal as I thought this was an American production so would have never expected to see somewhere so close to home used in it.

The JWT is amazing and proves that Humanity working together, can accomplish amazing things. It just makes sad, that we can produce this amazing telescope but, we can not solve our own planets environmental issues!?

I mean its a far more complicated issue to stop all hate and stop every country from using fossil fuels and stuff than to make a telescope that does some cool stuff.

We all create it constantly, but sometimes we forget and try to blame it on "mysteries, phenomena, luck, chance, fate". It's all a game, our (and e.t's) Chessboard, which is better than no game at all! 🎭

22:04 - I was having an online chat on the NASA channel during the live launch of JWST. I asked if JWST could see CMB radiation. I was told CMB are microwaves and JWST "sees" infrared, which are not at the same part of the spectrum.

Good news for the launching of the webb telescope hope the launch is successful, but I can't help but think how long it will be before it has a problem with no way to fix whatever it maybe,,can't wait for the first images to come back,,wonder if NASA will share what ever there is to see and how long it will take them to release said images.
