yeah, same here. I was so freaking emotional when she won. that was smth unreal. I just wasnt ready for that. my whole body was covered with goosebumps, the hope of victory was fading before my eyes (I was happy for the victories of oths, but also wanted her to win, bc I managed to become attached to her during the vlog and feel all her energy, the whole scale of the work done). and then they announce her victory... and I just started crying

I was never a competitive gal and competitions always make me SO anxious and stressed, my work is always shit. "and now she has my back" caused me to start crying immediately. I lost my grandmother about 4 years ago to cancer and I wish I was more active in learning from her as I grew older. She raised me and my brother. She also sewed, she made custom bears and collected Steiff.

I recently found Sarah because of her Strawberry Miku cosplay. She inspired me to try and sew my own cloak for an outfit I wear to Renaissance Festivals. I am so proud of her for paving the way for all future USA NCC competitors. Congratulations, Sarah! You deserve it

I started screaming "SHE DID IT!" When they called your name on stage I've never gotten so emotional for a KZreadr, but seriously congrats! You deserved it more than anyone, that costume took forever to make and you were proud of it. We are all truly happy for you!

I totally forgot to write this, but I was at the con! I was cheering for you, and I screamed at the top of my lungs when you won! I was in love with the performance, seeing it made me just fall over in my seat. I could even feel the adrenaline you were probably feeling during the entire skit! Congrats! :)

Two of my good friends were locally successful competitive cosplayers. It's been nearly a decade, but I miss handling for them so much. The energy in the creative community is so amazing. I started crying. I don't know why I started crying, I just did. I found your cosplay on Instagram and I was blown away by how _accurate_ and detailed it was, I had to come find the tutorial videos. And to see it all come together for an international content - least to say, I'm majorly inspired. Well done.

This randomly showed in my recommended and I don’t usually watch things like this but I was kind of curious and skipped to talking about how much work went into the cosplay and performance and then thanking others for being here (which resonated with me too) Made me emotional and then the anticipation to if u were gonna win something was so good, I almost cried twice and I’m completely new here 😭

Seeing animated outfits brought to life fills such a hole in my heart I never knew I had. The floof of the skirts is so satisfying.

Whether in person or on video, cosplay contests ALWAYS give me chills. Where talent meets unbridled passion.

As a cosplayer who’s also going through that “I want to give up phase” right now for an upcoming con/performance, this video literally gave me the passion to keep going and gave me more motivation than I ever had for this project, thank you so much for this you are now my inspiration :,)

I watch this video a lot for background comfort noise and I know this is a year old and this comment will probably get buried but I wanna just take a sec to appreciate how fantastic this video is at capturing *why* I love cosplay competitions so much. I sometimes get weird looks when telling folks outside of the community that I enjoy competing in contests but don't really care about winning because it helps me meet cool friends? I know this is a vlog and stuff just happens but from a storytelling perspective it's so brilliant how we see and celebrate the other competitors in the entire leadup, asking the avatar cosplayers if you're in the right place, excitement over the pig prop, ect. Even if none of the viewers know these people it sets up this fantastic comaradery between everyone so we are just as excited when they win as we are when you do? idk this is a really good video and I think it takes a lot of talent to translate the good contest experience into a 24 minute story. thanks for making it!

I know exactly what you mean, I cried for her winning, spent the whole video having the exact same anxiety as Sarah too! I did a contest on my birthday last year (10th September) first time, made an Albedo from Overlord costume, I panicked so much waiting in the line for my turn, had a technically difficulty with the clip not clipping by the time I went on stage, knew my performance compared to others was rubbish, but for my first competition I got 3rd place, sadly being a little UK cosplay con only 1st place got a prize, but I felt so happy to have gotten 3rd on my first try I'm now working on the new Alexstrasza design from World of Warcraft hoping to do another UK convention competition in June, and I'm having the exact same anxieties of it won't be perfect or good enough even though I only started cosplay in 2019

i literally cried watching u go on stage, i usually don’t cry from watching these types of videos but this was so amazing and so emotional. I absolutely loved watching this series + the strawberry miku series!!! u can feel the emotion through the screen and i loved it ❤️❤️🥹
