This isn't accurate. Powdered sugar is just regular sugar, just powdered. You can make your own powdered sugar out of regular sugar at home if you have a good blender. The main difference with powdered sugar is that it's more fine, and you can pack more powdered sugar in the same space that you could pack table sugar into. More sugar = more sweet. This is the main reason they tell you not to pack certain dry ingredients because you can add way more of that ingredient into a container when you pack it vs when you don't, and if will throw off your ratios.

we call this nastar in indonesia, acronym of anaNAS (pineapple) TARt. people said that in the past Dutch used Nanas (which was available) as substitution of blueberry and strawberry jam to make tart and called them ananas tart. a perfect combination of european recipe and asian taste/ingredients 😁

I had these at home but instead of it being that shape, the dough incases the entire pineapple jam and in my country its called “nastar”.

Tasty has a couple more videos of her that’s yet to be released, at least 2 more “Eating Your Feeds”. The noodle Eating Your Feed episode took over 2 months to do. On top of that, these videos take weeks to edit and make so..... just a couple more.

in Indonesia we just call this nastar. its sold everywhere especially at ramadhan or chinese newyear. its the same as this just that the shape is like a ball? or a dome idk. point is its really good

2:50 when she says enzyme she glosses over an interesting fact about pineapples, FUN FACTS: there is an enzyme in pineapple that breaks down meat proteins, basically as you eat pineapple something in the pineapple tries to eat you, it's why your tongue feels funny after drinking pineapple juice or eating pineapple.

The enzyme in pineapples is called bromelain. Also papaya has an enzyme too called papain.

This one wouldn't have it as they used canned pineapple. The heating during the canning process destroys the enzyme.

Whoever edited the part with the pineapple in the food processor, cutting to the overhead view every time it was turned on...glorious.
