Hands down the best sponsor segment I've seen yet on youtube. Pure unadulterated genious.

Hehehe. I had some good fun with that one 😅
I wish my father was just 1% this supportive of my creativity when I was thier age. These kids are truly blessed. You are a legend for helping these kids put together such impressive dioramas.
Teaching kids is one of my favorite things when it comes to terrain building. You all did a fantastic job!
i have never felt more connected to this channel. while never having tried to make dioramas with my kids, painting minis always proved just as stressful lol.
Both the dioramas and that sponsor segment are top notch! Great job guys!
Being a eleven year old and a crafting DM this is cool

I can't imagine how nerdy our exploits could have been if we had all this info at our fingertips at that age. GAME ON!
I just wanted to say I am only fourteen but I have learned so much from your videos that I actually made my own diorama my dad for Xmas that I am super proud of so thanks a lot Noil keep it up

These all look so good! It was really close, but in the end the fellow with the coolest animal ended up having the coolest build ;-)

Your kids are cute. And they look a lot like you. Were you that cute as a kid? Lol - Why are you acting like you didn't supervise the whole time? You're standing right there, measuring out pigment, but clearly they went overboard when you didn't say stop, b/c they haven't spent time in nature and application was more fun than realism to them. C'mon. Why do American parents oversell everything their kids do? That isn't necessary to build confidence. Acknowledging effort is all they need to be motivated to do more.
Man I wish we did this in school. Making dioramas is a lot of fun. First time I’m making one is for a memorial in memory of my friends dog.
great job for the young men who showed off their work! what an excellent Dad! This was fun to watch, and awesome to see the young men taking to the hobby! Thanks for this
Best ad read ever !!! 😂😂😂😂 This video took me back to having one of those handheld hotwire cutters as a kid. Great memories

@@RealTerrainHobbies I took it in the car on a roadtrip once and was breathing the melted xps foam in the back of the minivan for a few hours. One whiff of that smell makes me nauseous now and I can’t use hot wire cutters anymore
These are very cool and great to teach the boys how to do this. I was glad my dad taught me how so that I could help my kids with their projects for school. I liked to put electricity in them. My son did an Aztec one with a pyramid so we put torches along the path to the human sacrifice and some basic fire pits at ground level. Hid the battery compartment in the bottom step of the pyramid. Had him do his whole presentation and I told him "At the end of your talk about the Aztec people, you can pause and say something like 'This is what it might have looked like at night' and then flip the switch". It was really fun. 3rd grade I think. At the open house later I was in the classroom with him looking at all the kids projects and I heard one kid call excitedly to their parent, Mom, Mom, look at this one -- it LIGHTS UP!! It's so much fun to help your kids shine. I follow a channel that covers some Eagles nests and other birds, her channel is LadyHawk. She might get a kick out of the Eagle one. Very cool. There are nests in trees and nests in craggy places. Lots of Snow inspiration in them all and pretty cool for the one kid to do a similar scene in winter and not winter. I think that's what it was.

Hey thanks so much for the great comment. That was a really good read and put a smile on my face/ That Aztec build your son did sounds so cool! I would have loved to have seen that. Loved that the one kid called out to their parent. Hearing stuff like that puts a big smile on the face doesn't it. Especially it being something your son made. Thanks again for the great comment and glad you enjoyed the video! :)
I love seeing parents support their children's (and their friends) creativity and its so cool seeing the pride they have in the final results of their project
and this is where you get a close look at Neil Claus's workshop where the elves are being put to work making magnificent dioramas also these are all very nicely made for some new? diorama makers
You say you are in the middle of a blizzard. It looks like you are living the dream. This video has been very fun to watch. The kids, the editing, the humor. Very fun to watch. Keep on keeping on.
You reminded me of when I was just a few years old and my dad bought a helicopter kit and we had super much fun making it. Then he kept bringing planes and cars kits that we made together. We have such a collection that we forgot about in the basement. Thank you for reminding me of the good times!
One of, if not your best uploads ( I really dig the collab with Brent and that huge project). You gave these kids everything they needed to be able to create, really amazing pieces.
Wow am I impressed at those dioramas! I'm totally blown away with the end results! Yeah pops, mom having the kids to daddy-sit kept you out of trouble 🤭😉 plus I'll bet that snow was a blast to clean up 😁 These guys did awesome jobs, you better apprentice or hire them soon or they'll be your competition!

Hehe very true.
Neil, can you be my dad, lol. I have been doing custom hot wheels for a while now and I really want to do some dioramas for them. I'm so happy I get to learn from a fellow Canadian. I hope one day my 5 year old daughter will get into this stuff too.
These boys made some awesome dioramas! Thank you for encouraging the younger generation into the hobby, its is truly wonderful to see.
They did an amazing job on their dioramas.
They did a fantastic job on their dioramas!! This is the sort of things kids need to do, use their imagination and be creative. 😍
I am so happy to see another real terrain hobbies video

This is my fav video!!!! Yes those were probably Jackie's glasses!!!!
I absolutely love this! My dad is really into Warhammer and I remember making landscapes and dioramas for it together when I was a kid. It's a very fond memory I have of my childhood and I bet it will be for these kids as well (: Keep up the good work!
I had to stop at the davie504 reference and the "don't tell your mum" bit. LMAO EDIT: the commercial break was also awesome

School projects? The school should hire Neil to teach a special course on dioramas/terrain making! Bet the teachers couldn't do a better job teaching the kids. Love the passion of everyone in this video. Bravo!

Love love love when kids are involved. They'll never forget this! So thank you for sharing your art with them and us!
That's really impressive I made a small diorama last week and it didn't turn out nearly as well. I would like to challenge someone to make one with a rain mechanism, perhaps as a sort of makeshift fountain

Dear Neil, OUTSTANDING! New blood at earlier stage! Bloody good drills Mate! Kind Regards Johnny
Great idea - I'm going to do this with my kids, too. Some long winter days are coming up… Thanks for the video!
Great job! Not only do the dioramas look incredible, but everyone looked like they had a lot of fun! Maybe they appreciate the magic of KZread editing a little more, but they still look like they had a great time and learned a lot! Thank you!
Nice work. With your help everybody is a talent.
omg i was dying at that ad. If they don't use that for all of their marketing.... great video!

So great!!! Nice work to the boys. Great video concept.
I'd really enjoy if you did the final Part of the Medieval Inn, I'd totally try it myself :D
I really loved watching this especially as your sharing your crafting skills with your children... I was always creating things with my children and now they've all grown up I get to make wonderful creations with my grandchildren, I'm collecting boxes and toilet roll tubes at the moment for two projects one is to create a fae kingdom with my granddaughter and my grandson and I are going to attempt a 3D pirate treasure map, with a volcano, quick sand, sharks in the surrounding bays and a treasure chest that you can actually dig up... 🥵... Its all my grandson's grand ideas but I'll keep my 🤞🤞🤞 that we create something he loves... Im looking forward to seeing your next video, Happy Holidays to you and your family, take care & stay safe my lovely... 💫😷🦊🦅🐺😷💫
*A very nice and cool idea, these 3 kids have talent, congrats! 👏*

Very cool dio's......well done to the boys 👍
Maybe this will help people realize the techniques aren’t hard as they think. Creativity is that which you can’t buy.
That was cool! I will show it to my sons (8 and 9). They love painting (they do all the base layers now), but I didnt try terrain building with them yet.
Awesome work guys..;)
Omg the static grass hair loss commercial was gold 😭😭😭😭😭

I love that you involved the children. That is awesome! They did such a good job. Impressive. BTW, has anyone told you that you bear a striking resemblance to Mel Gibson? You do.

these were very impressive from this bunch of young lads, I tired to get my son interested but he just hasn't got the attention span for things with minute detail. he is a superb artist though working at his scale
Great video! I really would have liked someone to teach me how to make an awesome diorama when I was a kid
