I'm not a chug guitarist but I play one in the studio! Here's my demo of the Chug Pedal by Solar Guitars. I'm also specifically showing you how I would use it for direct recording sessions in the studio. I also put my guitars thru the Chug for a plethora of Chug-a-licious tones!

This is great man. I’m a Hawaiian that chugs
Oh what a treat it is to see you playing heavy stuff... it's like watching Gordon Ramsey cook with a flame thrower. Man the quest for the perfect heavy rhythm tone has always been the hardest one (maybe cause I'm a metal head). Getting that aggressive high gain sound without the fizz is tough. Especially if you want a tone that fits in a mix with metal as well as other genres... I like how the Chug pedal handled the presence though. I wonder how it would sound used as an overdrive in front of a high gain amp... it seems like the EQ on it has a nice smooth curve, the mids play well with the high end etc... And who doesn't love Ola. I'm still waiting on Solar to come out with a 24 fret Explorer. Someday...
