It’s absolutely wild in 2022 that new pedals don’t come with a mid knob or even a primitive noise gate. Ola really listened to what people want out of a pre amp pedal.

I like how it sounds good at every setting. Like, the tones are still usable even with knobs at extremes. That's rare haha.

I am not a big Solar fan, but you just gotta give credit where credit is due- Ola managed to jam a whole lot of features into one pedal, while at the same time keeping the it size-friendly and at the same time having an absolutely top-level aesthetics that really raises the bar. Congratulations for a job VERY well-done!

Even from the demo I would enjoy if the mids knob had a bit more range. Edit: that being said, a pedal that does a few sounds very well is always preferable over a pedal that does them all badly.

It will be awesome to watch a "Will it CHUG" episode with this little beast 😅

@@LeftHandedRightHanded No he was talking about the separate gain knobs for high and low frequencies. That feature was (IIRC) in Fortin Natas which then found its way to Randall Satan and Randall Thrasher via Fortin.

That is a beautiful pedal and i love how straight forward it is.

This is a really good pedal. It has a lot of good features all in one pedal. I really like the advanced EQ, the gate, and the dual-gain feature. More options to dial-in your perfect chugging tones. It sounded really good.

Impressive. Pedal is useable throughout the knob ranges and should work for a variety of amps and guitars. Great demo as well on DI, stack direct or FXLoop, and combo. Personally I’m not a fan of modern metal tones but this is an impressive product. (I like crunch tones, use a Fryette D120 on my Diamond 4x12 with boosts and such)

Omg this is brilliant! I love the gate on it. The concentric knobs to save space. It looks SICK! Ola you nailed it with this one! I hope this is a main stay and not just a short run.

Metal Distortion is usually bright since treble makes the sound feel more distorted, and when your ears are ruined after years of loud sound you want it even brighter.

I'm treble-sensitive, I like my headphones "dark", but I always liked my chugs bright. So uh yeah I will order this pedal and sorry for the people who will hear my chugs in "ultrasounds" in 50 years I guess lol

I recently bought a Revv G3 and that started my love for distortion pedals, could not let this one pass by, just placed my order 🥳🤘

I just can get over how good the pedal is. I was between this amd the deizel pedal...im getting this. Awesome job Ola., you made the best metal chug pedal thereb s today man.

Sounds better than most plugins out there and it's a "real" pedal I think definitely even great sound for the studio and a great start to Solar Pedals, if you guys make a boost pedal it's defiantly (along with this one) is going in my collection. The noise gate is like icing on the cake that means you can crank it up as loud as you want!!!

This is a shockingly good first pedal! I probably won't pick one up as my amp has high gain covered, HOWEVER, this does make me excited for future Solar pedal releases. Hoping to see a gate or an overdrive in the future!

It's feisty, no doubt about that. It's all the good stuff built in a straight-forward package, bravo for that. No taking the pedal apart to turn a gain screw , micro-switches or micro dials on the side nonsense. It's priced about where I thought it would be and not in the stratosphere like some can get and the pictures make it appear to be of very sturdy, stage ready construction. Cheers.
