The one thing I have learned about Poles is that whatever the decision is, it will be within his parameters and will be friendly for the team. If he can pull it off, then pull it off. This roster will then be as complete a roster as we have had in more than 20 years.

I would take them both definitely. Connor Williams for Caleb Williams is a Must tho. Look at how Vet All Pro Centers have helped Rookie QBs become Stars quick throughout time. I don't have the stats but it's common sense. 🤷🏻💯 Creates a whole new O-line Depth wise giving us a Top 10 OL for the 1st time since 🤔🤔🤔 When? 😅

We should take them both in a heartbeat, but the key is the contract. Especially Ogbah's! Poles will have to do some magic. Thanks for the numbers, you make it easy on me.

DL I really think your handcuffed until you see what you have because so much banks on young talent. So after Week 1-2 of camp, you got an idea. Ok, Dex is ready. You don't think 🤔 Dexter can play NT or your don't think he should because it could stunt 3Tech development. I mean Go Illini Go Randolph 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 But Dexter could end up NT2. And putting him at NT (More a 5Nascar) and Pickens at 3tech in Nickle may be the best pass rush. 🤷🏻 Pickens was a 3rd Rd pick, if he can Rush he deserves a shot too. He was what? 20picks later than Dex? Not even a full round. Jw your opinion on these 2 things tho. Pickens play time and Dex as a NT in the Nickle for pass rush and to give Pickens a chance. 🤷🏻😅 Now, if Dex is just tearing it up at 3tech, don't touch it. 😂💯 You can answer in video if you want for more content

I don't think Dexter should do anything that gets him back from his development and bull rushing. He made huge strides at the end of last year and he needs to purely be lined up in gap and go for those sacks. Great comment. Bear Down1!

Bears did enough, Hopefully Ryan Poles is smart and conserve the salary cap savings for our future resignings.

Connor Williams was ranked as 2nd best Center last year, IIRC. None of the available EDGE guys are close to that ranking. Grab Connor while he's available. If Bears also get a fill in EDGE, great. If not, the 2025 draft is coming.

Keith Randolph Jr is going to surprise a lot of people. I watched him throughout his entire Illini career since it’s only about a 45 minute drive from where I live. I feel like he will need a year to develop, but him and Gervon Dexter are going to make a great duo. Dexter reminds me of Jer’zhan Newton. KRJ biggest issue was his poor burst ability similar to GD coming out of Florida. KRJ if he bulks up and gains 15-20 pounds which he could with his frame. He could be similar to Akiem Hicks.

No in-year cap space if you get them both - risky. Love your work! If I were Poles, get just Conner.

I'd opt for Carl Lawson, his main issue is his inability to stay on the field. Adam, you yourself, said before that Ogbah is not a "HITS principle" guy. Is he or isn't he? Secondly, looking at Ogbah's numbers give me Albert Haynesworth/Nate Davis vibes. He got paid, then decided he didn't want to play. This is worrisome. I'd bet all the tea in Pakistan that Connor Williams doesn't give a flying F about who signs Emmanuel Ogbah.

I don't see Poles restructuring contracts with how he's been operating. I truly believe he'd rather roll the season with the players we have and strong Cap space and picks next year than mess with the great position the team is in long term. 🐻⬇️

As much as I want Connor, I don’t want another hurt Nate Davis who is unreliable. Open to getting the DE.

This duo would definitely help this team but having a cushion is in Pole's DNA, so the numbers would have to work. I'm all for this addition to the Bears but I would rather have just Williams, Ogbah is OK but he has no heart or drive.

@@Beardownsports maybe so, but Poles should not be trading any more draft capital for expensive veteran players, who he can simply sign as unrestricted free agents, instead of paying twice for the same player, in terms of both draft capital & salary cap space. what makes draft picks so valuable is that they are usually a lot cheaper than free agents, but not when you trade them for expensive veteran players who need to be signed to expensive contract extensions.
