They beat aging Celtics/Lakers teams. Bird was injury riddled from 1988 onward. Magic and Byron Scott were injured during the 1989 NBA Finals. Now Jordan, he was in his prime but the rest of his team wasn’t up to the task yet. The Bulls took them to 7 games in the 1990 playoffs. I would have like to seen prime Pistons Gino against prime Celtics, prime Lakers and prime Bulls(1990s) in the playoffs.

Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan have some unique history among the two networks. In 1981, Isiah wins the national title, MOP in the final college game on NBC. In 1982, Michael Jordan and North Carolina wins the national title in the first season on CBS. In 1990, Isiah wins the NBA title and MVP in the final NBA season on CBS. In 1991, Jordan wins the first title on NBC . Isiah won the final titles in college and the NBA on both networks. Jordan won the first titles in college and the NBA for both networks. Jordan won both titles the year after Isiah won them.
