i'll just sneak this comment here. but i think I've fallen in love with someone and it's a strange lovely feeling. after years of listening to taylor swift and daydreaming about falling in love, it's different than i expected. so much better, so much more than what i expected or ever dreamed of. i'm still figuring things out, how to let someone love me and how to let myself love someone. but it's lovely, and i'm holding onto it for dear life.

@@EricaRichter28 - The original is a cute/happy little bop, and she slowed it down a bit, gave the music a folk/country makeover, and turned it into something more wistful and romantic...which is apparently the worst crime to ever happen to music. People acted like the fact that she covered a song *at all* was somehow disrespectful, like covers haven't happened every single day since the dawn of music. They'd never heard of changing up a peppy song to be (slightly) more serious either, despite it happening all the time,. Even one of the original band members made a suuuuper passive aggressive tweet about it. I never thought people cared SO MUCH about Earth Wind and Fire for godsakes, but Taylor touches it and suddenly it's the work of the devil itself. It was all very chronically online and stupid. You can find the cover on youtube, it's perfectly lovely and harmless.
