Their obvious chemistry is what had helped to make Outlander so amazing. I think they have an amazing friendship that will hopefully last past the show. I wonder if their significant others can sense the infatuation and chemistry as well.

If you are looking for chemistry, you need go no farther than watching Cait with Sam and then with Tobias. With Sam, she is all over him and has her body in position to accept his presence at any time. Very exposed. With Tobias, with whom she has shared similar sexual scenes, it is the opposite. Very formal and reserved. Arms folded or sitting apart for distance and separation. The producers have just lucked out with these two actors, Sam and Cait. Pure gold for them and for the fans of the books. Here is hoping they can keep it up for another two seasons! Lovely to watch, knowing the closeness is real, even if the characters are fictional.

I don't believe he is in love with her and definitely isn't missing being with her. She also said recently that her husband Tony first met Sam when they first started dating which tells you she was not with her husband when Outlander started so both her and Sam may have had someghing at some point, who knows it's their business,but whatever it was is now not there. Sam is a solitary person and though he has relationships I believe he doesn't want commitment. He likes his own space and is quite content. . He has also said recently that he isn't very social, Cait on the other hand is just the opposite

Can you believe me if I tell you that I'm getting myself convinced that Cait's engagement is just a gimmick to prevent fans from rushing into the story between her and Sam? I have always had male friends and I can truly understand friendship between opposite genders but that kind of looks and physical contact I had only with which, in the end, I fell in love. Only time will tell if we're right but they're not just friends: that's a fact.

The last time I saw chemistry between two actors like this is with Brad Pitt and Anglia Jolie. They are obviously in love with each other.

We know Caitriona is happily married now but we know too that Sam's eyes tells it all before ..Now they are very good friends.But theyre really good together .the chemistry is soo up to the top😍

Boy, ten years down the road things are so different. They give off a totally different vibe. But I think they still are good friends in spite of all the changes. It will be interesting to see how they are together in the last interviews before the show ends, looking back instead of looking forward as we see here. It's really poignant. They've been through so much alongside each other. To not be able to look forward to being together during work may be really hard. Probably more for Sam, since Cait has a family of her own to bring her comfort. I dread the end of the show. It's been really special to me.

Let the fandom continues as Sam and Cait are promoting season 5 this wk! 😄 i just cant believe they r just “friends” with that much adoration and admiration on each other, and most importantly making each other laugh!! Very well put (along w song choice) the good old days these 2 shared. Havent seen them having that much fun on the interview lately.

It’s a beautiful friendship that has withstood the idiocy of social media trolls and magical thinking. They’re Brilliant actors who make Outlander “ must see” television. I hope the writers will chose to allot more quality moments of screen time for the Jamie/ Claire narrative. Last season suffered because these charismatic actors were underused or , sometimes, ill- used. With the exception of Tobias, no other actors on this show are as magnetic as these two. They are the straws that stir the juice... particularly for non book readers. Sophie, although greatly improved from past seasons, just does not generate enough electricity with Richard to make the time spent on their characters as riveting as the Claire/ Jamie dynamic . Here’s hoping this improves next season but... more time for both Jamie and Claire is a must!

Two very good looking people. Never knew who either were until I started watching Outlander a couple of months ago. Now I love them and the show. Jack Randall(?) I absolutely can't stand. That voice I can't get out of my mind and will never forget. He did too good a job of acting that part. So hateful.
