Me! This is one of the auditions that I always remembered and every once in awhile it pops into my head and I have to watch it 🥰 Ryan should have gone much further in the competition!

It's been a few years, but I periodically come back to this audition. What a beautiful voice. What a stunning performance. It feels like music at its purest level. Still hoping to see Ryan gain success on a national level some day. Everyone deserves to hear this amazing talent.

2023 I still go back to this audition hearing you sing the lyrics "can't find my way home" as a Syrian displaced from his country walking the earth a nomad always hits home.

Ryan THAT rendition is by far the singular finest audition l have heard in my 76 years You made Winwood proud and have talent that is simply amazing. Keep going man ,do not let the Voice be your capstone performance Bring it !!! Why, simply because the world needs to see and celebrate your gift . As a former NH resident you DID us proud young dude

I come back to Ryan’s vocal every year. He was absolutely outstanding and I was shocked he didn’t win.

I remember listening to your audition with the tv on from another room and thinking to myself “I hope to one day marry a man who sings like that!” Much respect…keep singing!!!

I remember watching this episode and was blown away, would definitely go if you had a show in the Bay Area.

My husband and I were watching The Voice last night. Both of us remarked simultaneously that the most remarkable and stunning audition EVER was this one. I remember getting absolute CHILLS as he transitioned from the elegant beginning to the earth-shattering climax towards the end. His control and level of skill is unmatched in anyone. He is a gift to the world.

I still love this so much.

It's such a shame that the judges didn't see the awesome talent that was in front of them. He should have gone right to the top of The Voice.

One of the auditions I still remember. I feel like I have to periodically watch it every so often just cause it resonates with me

HI again Ryan, 55 yrs as a drummer and vocalist and owner of a modest recording studio in N.C. I was fortunate to play with musicians from all over the U.S. and beyond in the U.S. Navy, there is so much talent in our armed forces. To this day I think you should have won The Voice! You started out with a bang with "Can't Find My Way Home". From there I truly feel song choices got you eliminated! There is a resurgence of 1970's & 80's Rock N Roll going on, it's obvious TV shows, in club bands in my studio recording young bands and especially in commercials. I really wish you could give The Voice one more try singing upper tempo songs by bands like Boston, Queen, Styx, Kansas, REO Speedwagon, The Scorpions & the Damn Yankees , these were great bands with great songs and stray away from the cult band like the Grateful Dead ,Pink Floyd and the such. Ballads are great but The only reason I still watch the voice is to hear the occasional up tempo song, the ballads are boring me to death! I wish you would try a few covers of songs long Boston- Peace OF Mind or Don't Look Back, or Kansas, What's On My Mind or Questions Of My Childhood. I think the response you get will surprise you! You have a voice that is second to none so reach for the stars Man!

Hey Willard! For some reason your comment was hidden from being posted until now, but I really appreciate it what you said. I agree with you -- the songs I performed were not the best choices. On a show like "The Voice," the contestants are basically at the mercy of the producers. We unfortunately can't sing any song we want to due to copyright crap, the band needing to learn a gazillion songs -- that kind of stuff. I SO appreciate you saying you think I'd do well with more Classic Rock -- It's one of my favorite genres of music, and I fully intend on doing some more covers in that vein! This was an audition unlike no other. His voice was right on pitch. His arrangement was fabulous. To this day I thought he should have gone much further in the competition. He got robbed.

I think my girlfriend nailed it with this observation. When Christina turned around, the look on her face was that of someone's favorite dessert being layed down before them when they are hungry. How this man didn't at the least make it to the finals has be doubting if an amazing voice and stage presence is what determins the winners of this show. I missed seeing that season but wondering if he did not have some story of tragedy and hardship which seems a requirement of so many contestants.

I periodically come back to this song, as Ryan CRUSHES IT! Gives me goosebumps every time! Wish he'd done better throughout the competition, but he has this 4 chair turn in the books forever!

I have this link saved on my taskbar so that I can listen to Ryan several times a week, still, after many years. No other voice audition has ever come close to this one, imo. The voice is SO pure and so poignant. I am happy to see so many others who feel the same way!

If you listen to the videos Ryan has posted, he’s a professional and a perfectionist. Multiple instruments, and his vocals are not just perfection but I love the melodic choices that really add new dimension to some of my favorites. Not sure if Ryan will ever be famous, but there is no doubt this man was meant for music. Period. Full stop

What I wouldn’t give to see him live!!! This is one of the best voices I have ever heard on this show. I’m absolutely floored every time I hear it. I come back to listen to this audition periodically it’s that good!!!

My favorite contestant ever! I listen to you every season of The Voice now and no one has ever come close to your talent! Funny thing, my son is your doppelgänger and people from all over the country asked if he was you because he sings as well.

I wore out my parents' record player finding the chording for this song on the guitar in 1970. I couldn't pretend to be near Winwood's voice on vocals. I tried. This one? Nice. So very nice.

I touch base with this often. It's rare someone covers a great song and adds to it. Ryan does exactly that. Truly remarkable voice.

Goosebumps every time I hear the upper register and Blake's like " I don't have a choice". Great performance. Top 10 blind!!

Just finished listening to my favorite version of this song by Stevie Winwood and Joe Cocker... Or though I thought so.. THIS is better. By far. This is so pure, raw, authentic and believable , I can't explain how. Ryan you are a Huge diamond in the rough!. Who is the Producer that will uncover you as the crown jewel ? Common already!!!

I still watch this performance in Aug 2021. This was one that has stayed with me even after all these years. I LOVED this rendition of the song.

I was just watching the latest voice season. They have all these new come back artist gimmicks and I keep thinking they need to have a most screwed over come back artist of all time. Ryan would be my vote. I remember how compelling his story was and right away connecting with him on a human level. I will always be a fan.

Just saw him perform last night. What an incredibly talented and nice guy. His voice is truly amazing. He did an Eric Clapton tune that was fantastic. Goose bumps.

I only ever go back to a few performances from this show since I don't watch it anymore, and this is one of the few. Not only are you pitch perfect sir, but each transition, nuance, and expression is perfectly executed and sends shivers down my spine. Beautifully tender, and then utterly powerful.
