Shoot through the window with one and shoot out the window with another to determine the accuracy of the gun while shooting through the window. You got a lock and speed. However, was the speed accurate? My department forbids us from shooting through the window for good reason. As far as rain or weather? Our saying here is "good cops don't get wet." A person needs to be going at a speed extremely noticeable to my eye for me to even aim at them in the rain. After that they have to going 90+ mph on the interstate for most of us to intercept that vehicle. Wet roads increase the danger for us on the shoulder, even with lights on. I'm not stopping anyone unless I perceive that their actions in the rain outweigh my risk.

I have been wanting to bring up an issue that I am not sure you have ever covered. In the last two years (at some point) I remember Ohio police being allowed to cite a speeding violation WITHOUT any detection equipment and that it would "stand" in court. I wonder if you would attack the legatities of that and or the defenses possible? They say a Laser trained officer must be able to predict speed by his/her own vision without a radar in order to pass the tests to have "such a license" to operate radar (such as MI, USA).

@@VortexRadar I'm suggesting it because it happened to me a couple of years ago (if you remember, you saw the video from my dashcam, in Staten Island) and the cop was parked on the street like normal, and he used a very small laser pocket gun to shoot at my car through the driver's side mirror.

How well does the R7 do against laser detection knowing that no windshield mounted unit will be as good as an installed laser jammer?

It’s good. How good? You’ll have to watch the video where he posted another Beta testers results. But honestly, once your hit- it’s far too late. Laser detection only lets you know to pull over for the ticket or floor it and outrun him ....

Ha ha ha, you meant as a joke, but sadly some actually do use Audi's and other non-cost efficient vehicles. Sometimes just to do public relations (look cool for kids). www.government-fleet.com/133872/texas-town-considers-luxury-patrol-cars
