VIDEO INTRODUCTION:
The year is 1945. Hitler had just lost World War 2, and the Soviets, Americans and brits had taken over germany. The war had killed 6 million citizens, Germany was hit by rampant unemployment, major cities like berline and frankfurt had been bombed and 20% of all the housing in germany had been destroyed. And the German currency was in such a bad state that people were using cigarettes as currency instead of the German currency!! And just like Germany, in 1947, when the brits left India, even India was in shatters. 3 million people had died due the Bengal famine, 2 million died due to the partition and 80% of our population was living in poverty!!!
And in the next 70 years, while Germany went on to become the 3rd largest economy in the world, Modi ji has promised Indians that we will beat Germany to become the 3rd largest economy in the world!! But you know what?? We are far far away from Germany!!!
While the unemployment rate in India stands at 8.1%, Germany stands at 3.6% which is one of the lowest in the world, while our per capita income is 2730 dollars, German per capita income stands at 54,000 Dollars and most importantly, in spite of having over 16 times less population than India, while Indian exports stand at 468 billion dollars in 2024, the german exports stand at 1.6 trillion dollars in 2022!!
So if you see even though it looks like our economy is growing at a staggering rate, except for GDP, we are far far far behind in terms of exports, employment and even per capita income!!
And since India is now on its path to become the 3rd largest economy, as citizens of India, our benchmark to judge the BJP should not be congress or pakistan, our benchmark must be derived from legendary countries like Germany, Finland and singapore!! And more importantly, it is our prime responsibility to hold the MODI 3.0 govt accountable by using these benchmarks!!
So in this episode, today, let's dive deep and try to understand,
After the destruction that Germany faced with hitler and World War 2, How did Germany become the 3rd largest economy in the world?
What are the most powerful and revolutionary models of governance that turned Germany into one of the richest nations in the world?
And most importantly, as citizens of India, what are the lessons that we need to learn from Germany to hold the Modi Govt accountable??

Honestly speaking, I don't get impressed when some poor country hits the headlines as being the fastest growing economy and such. This is because, most of this so called growth is just paper growth with little to no real improvement in an average person's average income and standard of living. Thanks to rapidly growing population, per capita income shows negligible growth. Despite reporting high gdp growth, several of these poor countries don't have any improvement in basic amenities and infrastructure, don't have any major reforms Implemented, can't stop brain drain, sees worsening social order, sees increasing corruption, sees increasing income inequality, poor social security and don't have any plans for sustaining the high growth. Average incomes of the people may increase, but the costs increase faster resulting in negligible improvement in purchasing power or savings. Increase in unexpected costs and weakening currency add further fuel to the fire. There is no improvement in the quality and variety of products and services, education, healthcare and human capital development either. A lot of these countries are destined to get stuck in the middle income trap and face resource shortages and climate change effects as well. Some of them are doomed to face some economic crisis as well. Hence, before getting overhyped about a poor country being the world's fastest growing economy, dig deeper and find out whether these underlying issues are getting solved or not. Mere GDP growth does not make a country developed. It involves solving the underlying problems mentioned above as well. These overly long term economic forcasts by corporates and economic think tanks are ridiculous as well. For an example, people who lived in the US in the 50s or the UAE in the 80s and 90s know what real growth and development is. This real development is not experienced by people who live in these so called fast growing economies.

Here's a counter argument: 1) Germany works under the framework of EU which is a united body of ALL European nations with open borders and work permits, trade agreements & shared currencies & economic responsibilities. In India's case, we have 2 hostile neighbors who have waged wars against us and continue to do so till this day. 2) Germany's sovereignty & security is guaranteed by NATO or in other words UNITED STATES of America essentially so they do not have to spend big on military hardware of personnel. In India's case, who is going to rescue us or help us? NOT a single nation will come to help, they have historically helped Pakistan and the same actors will do so again so we are forced to spend more than 3% of our GDP in defense. 3) Germany does not have a dubious & stupid democracy or by product of reservation quotas. They value meritocracy. In India, we cannot imagine doing so. No party has the balls to abolish reservation and bring out meritocracy. We don't just produce morons, we export our bright ones to these same developed nations while retaining the said morons who seek more reservation and freebies. 4) Our education system was willfully kept outdated because the idea is to keep us as servants and slaves. Not leaders or innovators. So the reservation, caste politics and all that bullshit is allowed in the system by design, not by laziness. If you really are on a mission to educate people and bring change, make a video on what I wrote above. There's a much larger point to make. The points above are in context of Germany, but if you are as bright as I think you are, then you know what I am saying.

Ur only valid point is of reservation and that too can't be abolished until we don't have better infrastructure and a good chunk of investment in this sector which is the most underrated thing in our country. U wrote correctly that their idea is to make us slave and for that things, solutions are discussed in this video. For the rest of ur point, I would say that India needs to better our relations with neighboring countries. Only highlighting the savage reply of our external affair minister won't do much. There is very aptly said quote that u can change ur friends but not neighbors.

Second:- Their is no point in comparing GDP per capita as food prices vary a lot , for example :- Rs 100 can buy you Vada pav, Sev puri and other things if you are starving. Third :- In India people are taught to hate rich people, How can anyone increase export if such opposition is faced to create wealth. Blame the Government but also Blame yourself. Solving the UPSC problem will not have a significant effect on the employment problem. We don't have jobs. That's the problem. Also, jobs should be as per the skillset developed and skillset should be as per industry demands. It is a 2-way street in that sense and we are miserable on both sides.

my friend forgot the whole backbone of the argument. Germany during and after 2nd world war was still an industrial giant, such that even USSR and US literally brought their scientists to their country for their development. This shows how advance they were already, topped with mega industry that made equipment in the war. While on the contrary, India was LOOTED and made to live under FEMINE ON PURPOSE, were uneducated due to 200 years of slavery. This is where GERMANY had the upperhand, so even after the war, the country was mega hub, while here congress looted to fill their own pockets.

Brilliant video. I had the privilege to visit Mittelstand companies as part of my MBA on a study trip. The experience was fabulous. So most students in Germany are not even interested in engineering. They have a program whereby they go to the factory 3-4 days per week and to the university 1-2 days per week for 3-4 years of their undergrad. The syllabus is individually customized FOR EACH STUDENT so they specialise at 1 particular job which is probably the only job of the type in the country. Many Mittelstand employees are also 3rd generation employees as they are big on supporting local community and on continuity.

Like US had been built since start on "Entrepreneurship", like those were literal colonies (ventures) by the settles, in the US people ventured out, took big risks, and were not given feebies by the big brother. Living in Germany as an Indian with a German spouse has shown me some major cultural differences. Germans are very honest and follow rules even when no one is watching, both at work and on the streets. Indians, on the other hand, often find ways to bend rules, from everyday people to politicians. Germans also love to read, and their universities are top-notch. In contrast, India's charm lies in its organized chaos. People live in the moment and don’t always plan ahead. Socializing in India is much easier because people are more spontaneous. In Germany, the strict and disciplined lifestyle can sometimes make people forget to have fun. Comparing India to the US might make more sense since the cultural differences between India and Germany are quite significant and probably won’t ever fully align. Oh, and by the way, Germany was a powerhouse during WW1 and WW2. They were already super advanced technologically and managed to cause serious damage to the Allied forces despite having fewer people and a smaller land mass. The German Luftwaffe was way more advanced than anything the Allies had. India has a lot of skills to catch up on in that regard.

One important point missed here, which can be the topic for next video: Demand problem of India. Most Indians never buy quality products, we always go for cheap ones. Cheap quality products are a lose lose for everyone: 1. Company doesn't make much profits off cheap quality products 2. Customer gets a pathetic product and loses productivity or product fails completely 3. Company can't pay good wages because their income and profit margins are low, so only a few top people in company earn good, rest all are on minimum wage 4. Low quality products become the norm and this degrades quality of life for everyone in the society 5. It's harder to do business and many businesses fail because customer is so much cost concious 6. We are unable to compete globally, this we only export primary goods and IT services. Never good quality products and services

@@pritishpatil7659 very insightful. I was thinking about the same. How can companies invest so much into creating a good product which will cost twice the average cost of same product in the market? Also even if they invest so much, there is always cheaper knockoffs and we Indians go for it. We Indians need to change our mindset and need to value quality over money and quantity. But on the other hand, we can be global leaders if we produce good quality products and EXPORT it. There is very less scope for premium products in local market. Education system is also an underrated problem. Also, demonetization weakened Indian local businesses and strengthened all conglomerates. Government needs to understand few Billionaires cannot save the country. Politics aside, everyone needs to understand the importance of education & R&D for a country.
