I remember in anatomy class how turned off I was at how everyone mistreated the cadavers. With what seemed like disrespect. After all, these are real people like you and me. I would love to see the cadaver of someone who has had the Whipple Procedure. It's such an extensive surgery. It would be very fascinating to me to see the restructuring of the digestive tract in a cadaver.

Yes. Stroking the lower abdomen, on the groin, will cause them to contract (cremasteric reflex). There is also some voluntary control if one tenses his lower abdominal muscles. They are controllable, to some extent. They are also reflexive.

I worked in a hospital in the state of Rhode Island many years ago and I was fortunate enough to have a buddy of mine who was a morgue assistant and was invited to an actual autopsy! My wife had just given birth to our youngest son and by the end of the pregnancy she was as big around as she is tall. When I ever saw the size of the uterus in this young deceased lady I was totally amazed and awestruck that a little tiny organ (uterus) the size of a golf ball or maybe smaller could stretch to accommodate a 7 lb baby boy!!!! I love learning about the reproductive system. When i was in highschool I would get so mad when people laughed because they would slow down the lecture. It's so awesome how much the human body has to learn about!! Thank you for these videos!!

Fascinating , I signed up for body donation years ago. Still sent a shiver through me when he pulled the teste out. Lol 😨

It was so interesting to know about the muscles associated with the testicles. Learnt something new today. I've said it before, will say it again, all that you do to make the topic interesting and not like a boring lecture makes you a perfect teacher. Thank you.

@@danatmonst3594 not so much against hits tbh.. if you hit someone in the head hard enough they will also get brain damage.. since there is no bone covering the testes you can see how that makes them a bit more vulnerable

@@litchtheshinigami8936 They are pretty tough. The fact that they are in a movable, free hanging sack provides them with protection b/c they are able to move out of the way or move with a hit. There is also the ability for them to be pushed back through the inguinal canal if they take a substantial hit. I had this happen after a motorcycle crash where I hit the gas tank with my groin. My left testicle went back through the inguinal canal where they sit before they descend in puberty. The doc pushed hard on my lower abdomen and it popped right back out. No lasting damage and everything works fine.

As a survivor of testicular cancer I wish you had mentioned how common it is, and how to self examine, similar to women checking for small tumors in their own breasts. It is slightly uncomfortable mildly painful to self check for testicular cancer, which usually occurs in younger men, even teens.

Indeed it is a VERY important anatomy!!

@@georgeplagianos6487 Different people have different resilience levels. For some people it hurts more, while for some it hurts less or doesn't hurt at all. For me, it won't make me faint, but it makes me feel like I have fever.

@@georgeplagianos6487 actually i heard u can also die if u are very very unlucky ur testicle can twist and if it twists too much and in a bad way and it doesn't fix its self for some strange reason the necrosis starts lol. but fortunately it's like almost impossible for it to happen
