I have been in Tamil Nadu for 4 years for graduatiion. I travelled alone all those four years. Me being a girl have never faced any inappropriate behaviour from men of Tamil Nadu.They have immense respect towards women and trust me they are the most welcoming and safest people I have ever seen my entire life. It is the safest place in whole India. They have very beautiful hearts. I am very grateful to God that I studied there. Thank u Tamil Nadu.

In my city, which is in UP tier 3 city ,there are people from south who are selling dosa,idlii and never faced any racism infact they got the USP that they are selling authentic because they are from south.

Only in Coimbatore because BJP has some support there. BJP even won Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency in 1998 and 1999. I think it has more to do with the candidate (C. P. You cannot survive in US without learning English, even though it is the most diverse country when it comes to ethnicities and races, if a person from Punjab, Assam, West Bengal, Gujarat, Manipur, Nagaland and many other states can learn Hindi then why can't people from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerela. you can still learn Hindi and not be loosing your cultural identity, look at northeast states they even more culturally diverse and still to some degree face more discrimination than southern states but they still learn Hindi. this Whole facade that people from the south are completely different that people above is absolute nonsense, If people really don't like outside language impositions on their cultures than they should also stop teaching English in schools.

Hypocrisy of many people is that they want us to speak Hindi but won't learn another Indian language while giving us lectures of nationalism. If Tamil chauvanism is bad then so is Hindi. I have encountered many cases personally in Mumbai where Maharashtrians have no problem in learning Hindi but when it comes to local languages being taught for even few grades it becomes a huge issue on internet. Why do North Indians vote for liberal parties in the West while having nationalist ones here for foreigners you too are hypocrites. Nothing different from a Turk supporting erdogan in Germany but voting for liberal parties in Germany.Both CBSE and tamil Nadu state board are lazy in teaching a third langauges whether it is Tamil or Hindi. If South indians saying I won't learning Hindi is bad then there are many North indians who say I won't learn local language. The fact is both should try can't learn or could not learn is okay but won't learn attitude is problematic.

I lived in tamil nadu for more than 3 years .... People are very friendly over there , they dont treat north indian and south indian differently . My mother dont know english and tamil but still she managed to live their happily , i still remeber the place where we used to live our houseowner used to call my sister and me for a dosa party every sunday !! Though language was a problem but i still lived their happily . Nice experience
