This is such a testament to the great people we are blessed to have, and the way their cooking impacts our lives. Josh's grandma is so proud of him, even if she doesn't know what youtube is. I wish every day that I had my grandmas recipes. Josh be sure to visit her every chance you get

This was so sweet! Making memories with her, learning from her and honoring her by passing on her knowledge is beautiful for both of you! She seems like a wonderful lady! 🥰 This definitely made me miss my own grandma, who passed just a few months ago. She was 98 1/2 and we spent a lot of time together! She also passed down her favorite recipes. I miss her tons, and I’m glad to see others, like Josh, appreciating the time they have with their grandparents! 🥰

Probably just modernizing some really old, traditional recipes instead of bothering granny to keep tasting them all the time. It'd be neat to see all of the Mythical Kitchen hosts come in with their generations old family cookbooks, wrapped up in cling-film to protect them from Josh's hectic antics, and try to do a modern take on some of their recipes.

I would just like to point out how gracious and thoughtful it was that they didn't film granny. From a production standpoint, the show needed to go on and the pivot from video to audio was seamless and told the story just as effectively. Good job Mythical Kitchen!

This was great to watch Josh! I can tell you really love your Granny. I think it's important we have these old recipes before they are all gone. My grandma passed away last September and in going through her things found books and books of handwritten family recipes! I can't wait to type them all up and give them to my family for Christmas.

I am a Roman Catholic Italian, who married an Ashkenazi Jewish man, when we married in 1989 he had his grandmother teach me all these recipes and I’m glad she did because now years later when he craves these dishes I can make them for him. His grandma passed in 2001 and I still love all the recipes.

She would probably still be making sour brauten & pot roasts! So glad Granny approved of the updated version. But next time.... remember the dried chicken soup mix!

The conversation with granny about the recipe and what's missing reminds me so much of making my mom's recipes. There's no written recipes and she'll list off vague ingredients with vague steps. Then you make it and it's not really the same and she's asks "well did you do this obscure thing that I didn't tell you, that's what I always do" 🤦‍♀️ 😂
