Hey guys. This component was not produced by me, but by my colleagues. Therefore, if you don't like something about milling, I definitely agree with you.😁

Pretty cool, what is the part?
Sure one can do almost anything on 3 axis mill but sometimes its quite painful. Back when we got our first 5 axis machine and learned how to run it i was completely blown away by the simplicity of work. We used to run parts that required 6 different setups and some of them were in odd angles that needed to be set up with care.

Could you walk me through the process. Im new at cnc milling, having a 3 axis and wanting to work on more complex parts. When im done with one side and wanting to start on the next, how do a actually do it, do ike make the part in free CAD or simular, half machined? The starting to mille on the next side? And how the hell do I center the piece and making sure its located right? 😜

We currently only have 3 axis but are looking into a 5 axis within the next year and I’m excited to see what it can do
I love your videos it's about time someone shows the pain we manage daily . You guys working 55 hours 😂😂😂
Using inserts up like there is no tomorrow, i like that "just got a bit warm" and "5 axis" job done in 3 axis in 2 ops with a piece of scrap as fixture ? man, your cheffe better gonna love you guys! (hint hint : employee needs raise!! :P)

I think they did a good quick quality job. Yes there’s many ways to skin a cat. Yet they got the job done and looks awesome. No reason to downgrade someone maybe they learned something on that job and will apply it later. We should build up the community and show NFGs how it’s done.
Не плохо, но не для все деталях позволяют технологические резьбы делать. Сам авиационные делали в 3 осях делаю, прихолится остовлять технологические прибыли с перемычками
very good job CncFrezar
Great video, S, F values, Insert type, A lot information, Thanks a lot. Best regards.
This is insane work...well done 👍 ✅
nice fixturing thanks for sharing
Also, the dowel pins and bolts to hold it is very smart, when I first watched the rouging I thought to myself how in the hell will you remove the excess stock in the last op.
Awesome work.
great video nice piece, you could make videos about fastening devices, or even give a presentation of use in work pieces share a little of your experience passing on the types of fastening you've already done there aren't many videos that talk about this type in detail of subject . thank you, I'll wait !
you have some very good tooling .... here in S.A tools are expensive.
Tapping that hole is brave...:) I always thread mill anything above 40hrc.
Amazing machining 👍👍👍
Nice work!
Absolutley amazing! You guys always impress me so much, the parts you make are so complex and always turn out beautiful!

This is "fire", the wear and tear of metal 🤣
some nice blues
👍
Nice job and like the ingenuity for fixing the part, so the other side can be machined accurately. So the question is, do you want a 3-axis very stable mill and have the trouble to make fixing part tool once in a while or buy a 5-axis maybe not as stable and robust machine

5 axis any time. It is just that much better even if you get relatively light weight one. Keeping spindle turning even if you have to take lighter passes makes you money. Programming several setups and doing physical setup work costs money. Its all about maximizing the spindle cutting hours per day. Typical jobshop can be very poor in that regrads.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Like for adding clamp, to support overhang not from start😂
Scallop height on the finish pass?
Dobrá práce! Chápu to dobřey ze jste si na první upnutí udělali přesnou díru. Z ní jste si najely nulový bod na op2 a potom op3 jsem najeli z upínací desky?

On the last op the workpiece didn't need to hang out of the vice. Other side of the base plate should
Really nice!! 👌 Does the spindle load increase much with dull inserts?

Depends on the tool. Smaller tools won't show but big tools might. We bought an 80mm feed mill last year for very heavy roughing. I would run it 80-90% load as this was giving reliable results but when the inserts wore or chipped the spindle load could go up to 120%

For sure on 5 axis machine you do it in faster on one clamp. Even surfaces can be fine machined. Anyway it is nice show how clever are this guys 👍
At 5:00 is that a different machine? Looks like you moved the piece to a HMC.
