The sport Viswanathan Anand seeded in India has now taken root to produce a plethora of chess Grandmasters, most of whom achieved the feat while still in school, especially India's hot new talent, Pragga. India has the potential to win a Gold medal at the 44 Chess Olympiad being held in Chennai.

@@shrinivas105 I didn’t follow chess till I saw his 2020 Olympiad gold winning stream. The semi-final stream just got recommended to me and I watched the whole thing and the final as well. After that day I have been following everything about chess. Viewers see him because he plays chess in an interesting way which is not boring to the viewers. I can’t watch chess streamers because they are all focused and concentrated but it is fun watching Samay playing. I learned so much chess from his streams with Sagar Shah so you shouldn’t be telling anything without watching him closely. Get your facts correct. 1) it’s Gelfand not Gefland 2) It would be great if you could include Gukesh’s story becoming the 4th youngest player in the world to cross 2700 being even younger than Prag (gukesh is born in 2006, prag in 2005) 3) Erigaisi Arjun wasn’t even mentioned… he’s had a stellar 2022 and has a live rating of 2690 being in the A team as well… I think the focus was a bit too much on Prag instead of including other juniors as well 4) India is number 4 in the world right now not 3 5) Other than all this loved the video! Would be great if you make more chess related videos :)

they are a few mistakes 1) Boris Gelfand didn't become the world champion ever. he was a candidate. candidates are players who play in the candidate's tournament and the winner gets to challenge the world champion. 2) the rating at 3:07 are the wrong Vidit is currently rated as of today is 2714 and he never came to 2702 for the last year so i don't know where that number came from 3) Adhiban also entered the 2700 club 4) chess was more popularized by chess streamers like Samay, Hikaru, ChessBase India, Agadmator, Gotham chess, botez sisters, comedians like Biswa, etc. giving the Netflix show the whole credit is wrong. 5) 0:57 rook cannot jump over the pawn.

in this video the time format for olympiad is shown as a blitz time format but actually its classical. 3:14 Koneru Humpys rating is not 2517 but it is 2586. 3:17 The format is not a 5 plus 2 blitz format but it is classical format with 1 hr 30 mins to each player. Too many mistakes but still ok for someone who doesnt know a thing about chess.
