Can I recap this Macintosh LC faster than anyone else in the world?

Old electronic devices with surface mount electrolytic capacitors are often affected by capacitor leakage and those capacitors need to be replaced.
In this video I attempt to set a recapping speed record as I replace the 15 leaky capacitors on a Macintosh LC logic board.

I just got one, it’s very clean, but I’ll be recapping it anyway and sloooowly! Thanks for a great video!

which state are you in my friend? I wonder if you'd do classes on recapping..

Hi, where do you buy the new capacitors? I am in Canada and most online stores seem to have crazy lead times like 16 weeks. Also, how can I clean the board (logic or analog) if I don't have an ultrasonic cleaner? What do you think about using the dishwasher?

I need to recap same original Mac LC, mine starts with the correct chime, but then has the death chime right after and no video, do you think a recap will help, all looks great I dont see any 'cap juice' on the mobo? Last I tried it worked 30 years ago. Where are you located and what do you charge to do what you just did? If I were to buy a recapped LC like you have there and swap my hard drive would that be an option to get to some software that I want to play with for nostalgic reasons? TY When I remove the RAM and leave the VRAM I can get it chime without the death chime, still no video, hard drive seems to be working I can hear and PS seems like it heats up a bit. RAM was good 30 years ago, tried to clean with alcohol leads of RAM and reseat, then the death chime is back

Why do you clean the board last instead of first?

So that I can clean off all the flux residue I apply during the recapping process. The only time I would clean a board first would be if it was so dirty it was making it hard for me to do the recapping.

@@BranchusCreations what kind of ultrasonic cleaner do you use? I have a lot of the same equipment as you but I'm missing the cleaner and I am struggling to find one that's large enough to handle old computer logic boards without spending a fortune...
