    I know this is 5 years old. but thank you for the great video. working on my first practice board now with amazing success. I figured this was some dark art that would take months if not years before id touch a board. Im not saying its the most beautiful, but i got conductivity and they don't come off. I really am amazed by this video. Thank you so much!

    It would be helpful for these tutorial vid, if you mention your heat setting that you use. For instance, during pad removal you caution on being heavy handed but no heat setting. Also, there was an annoying whistling sound that was periodic which prevented me from watching. FYI, other tutorial vids that I watched they do mention heat settings.

    Thank you for the video, very educational, I learned alot from it. I have a question, what size resistir do I need for a battery holder which holds 4 double A batteries? I know they sell like 100 olms 1k, etc. The holder is very corroded and corroded the batteries. I bought new holders but I was wondering if I have to change the resistors?

    This project of yours will not work, you are connecting the driver boards without synchronism, it is very likely that some transducers cancel the wave of others, what a big mess you made, exist there are master and slave driver boards for make project with many transducers, a clock signal from the master board is sent to the slaves in order to keep all transducers oscillating fully synchronized !!!

    I'm sorry to inconvenience you, but it *does* work. Maybe do some more research before posting your thoughts.

    @@BranchusCreations Your test with aluminum foil says nothing, you know very well that ultrasonic cleaning works by propagating waves at high frequency, if you have transducers operating individually it is obvious that at least one will interfere with the efficiency of other, is you than need be doing the research no me , just look at any ultrasonic tank project with more than one driver board and you will see that there is a connection so that they all work with synchronized waveforms, research and see, if waveforms are generated inversely they will cancel each other !!!

    @@guardiao_das_riquezas Okay, time to put on your scientist's hat. You say it shouldn't work but it does. Try and formulate a reason why, rather than just proclaiming your ignorance. I know the answer, and I will tell you if you're correct.

    @@BranchusCreations Comrade, I already told you why it doesn't work, are you stupid or are you acting stupid??? place two speakers facing each other, apply a 1KHz sinusoidal signal to both and only delocate 180 degrees out of phase and see what happens, OMG you don't want to believe it, don't believe it, so you can go far with your channel, without accepting opinions from third parties, If you think you're the owner of the truth, I'll end this discussion here. You can reply that I'm not even going to come back, debating with a brainless pigeon is wasting my precious time, without more.

    Great video. It was very helpful and informative. I have a question. You said in your video that you can add another partition/drive image, as long as it is given a different SCSI ID. Can I assume, you would just create a second drive image, as the first one was created? Then once created, it can be copied to the external DB25 BlueSCSI in the same manner and the the first one, correct? Now, the question is before I copy the second partition/drive image to the BlueSCSI, can I copy files to the partition with SheepShaver before I copy the second partition/drive image to the BlueSCSI and change the partition/drive image? Or would I have to use the BlueSCSI file transfer tool to move files from my iMac to the BlueSCSI partition. I ask because, like you, since I was an Apple Tech for while, I also have an external SCSI hard drive to which I copied all of the System versions, I had at the time, into various folders.So, if I had to backup a customers data and reinitalize the internal HD, the installed a fresh version of the System Software. I would like to set up my external DB25 BlueSCSI in the same manner. The DB25 BlueSCSI is a lot easer to carry around. I would appreciate and advice/recommendations you might offer. Thank you, Randy

  • @BranchusCreations
    @BranchusCreations9 күн бұрын

    Yes, your assumptions are all correct. You can even just duplicate your first disk image on the SD card. As long as you rename the second one so that it uses a different SCSI ID, it will come up on your Mac as a different drive. And yes, you can use SheepShaver to load the disk image and then make any changes you want via emulation. You can even load it directly from the SD card, so you can make any changes, shut down SheepShaver, pop out the SD card and put it in your BlueSCSI.

    This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. My Brother's Precious SE30 has languished in a Cupboard. I am going to Bluescsi it (as well as pram battery replacement) and Back up the internal drive. Was wanting to know how to mount the Blue SCSI externally to start with. His is quite expanded (network, DiMMo 50mhz and 128MB ram) Running 7.5.5 as is. Will probably mount internally and remove the hdd eventually but this is great.

    I have two questions for you. What is recapping actually? I watch it and get an idea but don't know exactly. Second question is, what kind of a degree do you have or training? I think I can answer one of my own questions. Recapping is repairing the computer so it's in good shape and working.

    Greetings from New Zealand. I am about half way through building the same unit. The power boards I have ordered have been damaged in transite and I am onto my third shipment of replacements. I will get them sometime in the future, I hope!! A couple of questions please. Is the 3D programme available to make the boxes and the dovetail mount? Where did you get the plug for mains power to the board ? Kind regards, Paul

    was hoping to see some heavy corrosion set in where the solder has turned grey from cap leakage and will no longer flow. myself I don't even bother with hot air on smt caps, just a medium long cylindrical tip and a leg at a time.

    Today I done a recap on the same drive but the internal variant with dummy eject button. Anyways, I wanted to ask about the other PCB in that drive which seem related to the motoring stuff. It is located at the bottom side of the drive. From a sideways opening I can see the pcb but I can't see whats on it. I don't want to disassemble the mechanics just to find no caps at all. Did anyone looked there already?

    Hi Bruce, I love your ultrasonic video series, they are so comprehensive and I learned a lot from them Would you consider making an ultrasonic cutter video once, I wonder if it is possible to make a cake cutter or a pizza cutter with combining multiple of those 50W generic cleaner transducers. There is a lot of content online about cleaners but so little on cutters.
