Honestly, they did the smart thing and kept all of the Pokémon. Like, I’d be kicking myself if I traded in all of my good Pokémon with the copy. Surprised they didn’t go all the way and wipe the file too.

Obviously, they used Pokemon Bank to store all the Pokemon they got in their playthrough, the Pikachu can't be transfered because it's unique to that game, and the Marill is there because you need at least ONE Pokemon in your party.

The nostalgia. This used to be my favorite game. I miss the days of getting home from elementary school just to hop on the DS and play Pokémon all night.

I got a copy of OmegaRuby that stated that the game was "beaten." But by "beaten," they meant they hacked the ENTIRE national Pokédex including all different Arceus types, at least 10 Deoxys of all four forms, two Shiny Rayquaza, Yveltal and Xerneas, shiny Creation/Legendary Beast trios and level 100 Pokémon heaven, but they left the story at Route 101. But it was sure fun beating the story using a shiny Arceus (when it actually obeyed) and clearing my first gym with a KELDEO! 😂

In addition to checking boxes you should check their dexes too and see if they were completionists or shiny hunters or just bum rushed through the game with one team

I remember my stepbrother getting a used copy for his birthday, he gave the game to me after a little while. It turns out that the game was hacked to where eggs hatch instantly after one step.

I got a shiny Gardevoir and Relicanth. As well as 3 Pokémon used to beat the league. And a Dragonite that beat Red on Mount Silver. Few legendaries too.
