Visualizations are helpful in a sport like basketball, but the positive self-talk is not really applicable. Maybe on the free throw line where the game comes to a stop. but games that move quickly against other moving human beings, it's difficult to have those conversations with yourself. It's helpful to imagine yourself in game situations and scenarios, and visualize making great plays within those. It's commonly called psycho-cybernetics. Hope this helps.

@@paineintheass233 I agree. You have to see the game and situations as you prep for the game. Once in the game, it won't work. Too fast. Maybe when you're sitting you can but even then, it's tough.

I love when you film your tournaments. I get to see the good and the bad (mostly good)! A best friend of mine once told me, “The words I can, I am, and I will, can change your life. I’ve never forgotten that. Keep up the good work.

How can you not just adore this young lady? She just brings a smile to my face and a laugh here and there for good measure. Some say the youth today are lazy and undriven etc... I would suggest they watch gabbygolfgirl for an attitude adjustment.

I agree with other comments about your Attitude and Approach,,,,,,,,,here is a tip for playing tournament golf,,,,,,,,Play to your strengths on every hole. Think about each holes distance and figure out what distance you want to play into a green, then you already know what to hit off the tee. We all admire your positive outlook and attitude towards golf.

Gabby, first of all, thanks for giving experiences that we otherwise would not experience. After two days of grinding at it for 23 hrs of golf, you still had a smile that lit up the day. Your comeback round was much better as you said, and that's what we strive for in life, to come back better. You are such a fighter with a positive attitude with tenacity . Keep it up, Gabby, cause as your fans we're rooting for ya.

Man! For someone so young to seemingly have such control over the authentic power of affirmative/positive thoughts is utterly amazing and a wonder to watch. If she can continue on this path......wow! She's going to be a wild force of nature to behold! She's very lucky. I discovered and stumbled upon this elusive _(untaught)_ mindset much later in life but it changed my lifestyle circumstances 1000%. My only regret is that I wasn't able to 'crack the code' earlier in my life - like this lucky grasshopper is doing right here.

It’s definitely a long process in building positivity… but it works!

I just watch your preparation video and I couldn’t wait to see how you did. Your preparation and love for the game is inspiring. I love how to talk to your self in such a positive way almost hoping the ball listens to your thoughts. Before each putt I hit. I say I can do this then putt. The difference( I only say it in my head). Keep doing you. Your amazing. Best of luck !!

Thank you for your videos. As a starter you always have someone you look up to. For me thats you. You make your swing look so effortless and that helps me to not put to much strength into it. That basically fixed it for me. Watching your videos made me realize, you can play that good with out that longest drive power swing.

Based on your videos, you consistently shoot Par with a minor variance of +2 over or -2 under. Just by improving your putting score, you could easily shoot -3 under at every tournament. I think your putting form and technique is spot on, it’s just your shot “line” that is missing by mere inches (or less). This video tournament showed that you missed 5 putts by a shadow that would have brought your score down to around -4 under. A suggestion---try to find and work with an experienced “greens reader”. Reading the green is a developed skill (cuts, break, speed..,) that compliments your stroke and every pro invests time on that vital skill. You know that the short game is about form, technique, and line. Improve on the sight line of the green and you win everything you enter!

I love this kid. That would have been a really terrific round if not for a couple of misreads. well done.

Great round Gabby. Way to grind it out . Need little more distance on those drives so you can get a little closer to the pin on ur approach shots . So close to next level golf.

The side-on driver shots were great - love to analyze the technique.

I thinking putting is as difficult as bunker shots. Putting seems simple but so many elements come into play like changing grass speed and slope angle. I think to putting well requires experience and time. You have to 'feel the putt' rarther than just hit the ball. So Gabby's investment in time and practice will continue her journey in the right direction.

What you went through, considering the emotions, practice hours & trying to regroup, you finished well. You weren’t wildly overshooting the cup or really misreading the greens badly it’s just down to developing the finesse/ gaining more experience. You've got this though, you're a great golfer and a lot of fun to watch. Keep grinding you're doing great!
