@ShaeLondon - Londoners, the British, are brought up on sarcasm, taking the mickey, p*ss out of each other. It's how we bond with each other, tease each other, make each other laugh. Mostly taking the mickey out of ourselves, to make us and others laugh, so we feel at ease with each other. Finding humour where ever and however we can. It is never done to be unkind or hurtful. As I always say: if I take the mickey out of you, it means I like you. If I don't, I don't. I am glad you have gotten to understand our playful sarcasm 😁.

You literally said what I was going to comment: "easy life" Life is much easier when you can laugh at yourself and the British have perfected that. My workplace, were always taking the piss out of each other and it brings morale UP where in other countries it would bring morale down.

Barry Manilow, an American Las Vegas style lounge singer well known for being flamboyant and unfortunately endowed with a big hooter (nose) I like the way you enjoy finding out about British culture of which comedy is or was a huge part.

One of my best friends is from the Congo and I had to educate him on British slang words and taking the piss.

Have a look at all Murrays videos (name a country we have defeated them, Al Murray vs Americans, nations of the world, comparing UK accents. Trust me you will love them. 👊😉
