This is a recent stand up tour. Banning by the woke brigade doesn’t affect Ricky. He’s too rich for that and he doesn’t care.

I watched some of your love thy neighbor. It is fascinating that Eddie is color prejudice but doesn't really see that when he looks at the shape of his neighbor's wife's body. When the two of them ended up nearly dating some women in a conspiracy before their wives turned up. It was the possibility of them mutually having a chance. It's these sort of underlying things, which if you twig onto gives you a very different perspective on their relationship.

Big love to shae. Some people just don't get it. Ricky is a very kind, generous, warm-hearted person... but the humour is designed to pick at the scabs we keep covered up. He pokes at the social wounds and exposes the things that we want to hide from. That is the purpose of his comedy... ... if it makes anyone uncomfortable, Good! It's supposed to! But it's not because of the comedian - it's because the world is Fxxx'ed. And before you can change it, you have to face it... acknowledge it... you have to be disgusted by it. Even if it hurts to look at. ESPECIALLY, if it hurts to look at! Because otherwise we spend our lives in polite denial of ugly truths, while the problems get worse. We wander like zombies through our life sharing pictures of our food on instagram like everything is perfect. It's NOT perfect. Ricky shines his light into the darkest corners of life and reminds us we need to do better... and we need to BE better. He takes our hidden sins and wears them like a coat, for all to see the ugliness : ) Gervais is a healer. And the people who _'don't get it'_ are part of the problem.
